Foreman twins were crazy recruiting story. Armanti is super hyped recruiting battle with OU and then becomes a decent but generally forgettable player at this level. D'Onta was supposed to be the bench warmer that was only offered because of his brother, but then the second he stepped on the field as a true freshman it was "wait a minute now this dude is a beast out there" and next thing you know he runs for 2k yards and heads off early to the NFL.

I am pretty sure I was at that game. If I remember correctly, Rice arm side DE got the edge, popped Vince in the chest, VY slapped his head into the dirt after taking 2 steps back and took off for Positive yardage. But sometimes I mix my VY folklore.

Not new but: my grandpa took me to the 91 cotton bowl. Miami beat the brakes off of us. He owned the feed store and fertilizer distributorship in our east Texas town. By all accounts we should be Aggies and most of his customers were full blown Ags. When our guys ran out of the tunnel in the cotton bowl, he looked at me and said,” Don’t get better than this.” I was hooked then and there then got both my undergrad and grad degree from McCombs. I Miss him everyday and glad he took me to that game.

I would be interested in a compare and contrast of this Sark offense versus his prior college offenses including Bama, USC, and Washington. Based on what you think you know about the various pieces, what prior college offense do you think this team most resembles from an individual talent and anticipated style of play perspective. The second question does NOT need to be somehow contorted into a prior Texas team comparison, feel free to cast a wider net.

I’m not above wishing ill will towards an athlete. I’m bitter and aging, if not old. College athletics is a privilege not a right so that’s my justification.
