Any chance of Mendoza coming back now after falling this far?

Sure would love to have him back. I assume he could make a decent amount in NIL while boosting his draft stock. I know he’d be another year older but a late round signing bonus wouldn’t be much. I hope for his sake he gets drafted but the selfish side of me would love to see him in burnt orange next year 🤷🏼‍♂️

Cozart will be the #2 and the staff loves what they already have. There’s a reason why they haven’t pursued starting pitchers in the portal. Look what they’ve done with guys like Luke Harrison. We have much more talented guys than him and the staff has proved they can develop pitchers.

I don’t think he was expected to be a top 10 round guy. I don’t think I’ve seen him on any type of draft list. He must really be eager to start his pro career.

That was because literally nobody knew about this possibility until July 8 or 9 ... and OTF had cut the video June 17, and knew about for more than a week prior. That rarely happens in this industry.
