SEC and Big Ten already carved out the outcome they wanted, and the voluntary pooling language locks that in. What’s left on the table now is the hard stuff: real enforcement, closing loopholes, and making sure the legal framework actually holds up instead of sending everyone right back to court. Petitti pumping the brakes until he sees the exact language is just smart. None of the remaining issues are minor, and every one of them gives the conferences more reason to slow‑play this. If they think next offseason gets them a cleaner, stronger bill, there’s no downside at all to letting this version run out of gas.

How is having a ceremony acting like a superstar? I see non athlete high school students who have ceremonies when they pick a college now. Weird thing to be upset about when the kids just want to celebrate with friends and family a remarkable accomplishment.
