  1. Past hour
  2. The corrupting aspect of this will not go unnoticed. More teams are gonna break the rules in various ways less serious than gambling and expect to go unpunished.
  3. Yes he was. He was betting on sports at Tech.
  4. “It will cause irreparable damage to his career”
  5. College sports quickly became the Wild Wild West
  6. In enters Cody Campbell and a bag of cash. This still doesn't fix the root issue in that whenever I see my team do something absolutely boneheaded that I won't question if there was gambling happening.
  7. No, the NCAA can’t ban Tech from the playoff over something that happened before he ever got there. That’s not how their bylaws work. But they don’t need to. The NCAA has a much simpler hammer: if he’s ruled ineligible and Tech plays him anyway, every game he steps on the field becomes a forfeiture. That’s the real leverage, and it applies no matter what county courthouse tries to protect him.
  8. Well someone named Brendon Dorsby bet the house that he would play on kalshi recently.. we should have known
  9. The CFP committee should just say if Sorsby plays, Tech cannot make the playoffs. Simple as that.
  10. This is literally what is happening in college basketball 😂 such a joke
  11. I can’t wait to hear Gerry’s (deserved) rant on this.
  12. The Big 12 has doubled down with Tech, they are in cahoots together. It's obvious why....(cough) Campbell... (cough, cough)... money.
  13. I doubt the Big 12 will do anything at all. Tech appears to be Yormark's BFF's.
  14. Seriously what is the point of having rules if you can just appeal them. Might as well just start bringing NFL players back to college and take it to the courts if the NCAA says they’re ineligible
  15. Everyone on Tech's schedule should tell them to pound sand. Can't make the CFB with a 0-0 record. Maybe the Big 12 will do something but seriously doubt it.
  16. I cannot say for a certainty that this judge got paid or was facing intense pressure from his community, but that's the first thing that enters my mind and most likely others as well. My 5 year old knows better than this judge.
  17. they can Push for an expedited hearing, they can appeal the injunction, they can drop the forfeiture hammer. Most likely response? The NCAA immediately asks for an expedited hearing and gets it.
  18. Can the NCAA say fine you can play but your program is not allowed to participate in the playoffs? I guess that makes no sense because he wasnt at Texh during the period of time in question
  19. Hard to wrap my head around this.
  20. imagine being a truck driver, getting multiple dui’s and being let back on the road because you are gonna “suffer a probable, imminent, and irreparable injury”
  21. “Irreparable harm” is the entire point of rules and punishment.
  22. This ruling makes no sense.
  23. Sell ur soul to the devil and you live like a king in hell. TT will pay for this in the long run. How the rest of college football deals with this is a bigger concern for college anthletcis and where we should shift our focus.
