As a college player, being compared to the players of his day, I'm not sure Bobby Wuensch wasn't the best of them all. Key block here by #50 Wuensch on the game winning TD late in the Cotton Bowl to win the 1969 national championship. -
In the words of Barry Switzer when talking about Texas recruiting position. " Texas NIL means now its legal". Leave it to Barry to access the obvious.

Good question, @LonghornFan4Ever PRT is obviously the pitching coach, but the rest of the defense gets handled by the other two assistants. Fremin has run full defensive systems before, and Freeman has coached catchers and defensive units at multiple stops, so between them the infield/outfield work, positioning, and team defense are covered. White oversees all of it anyway, so the lanes stay pretty defined.

Go wish CJV a Happy Birthday - it will make you feel better.

very slow day on the site as it pertains to news worthy topics

Many thanks for that post @Buck Travis.... From what you laid out, it’s pretty simple: Texas just added a legit swing technician. Freeman isn’t a vibes‑only hitting coach - she fixes sequencing, extension, and plane awareness, which is exactly why Arizona’s offense blew up. Fremin runs the system, Freeman builds the hitters, and PRT handles the arms. That’s balance, not duplication. White wins a natty, lands the No. 1 portal bat, and hires two elite assistants from a beach. Yup, man’s on a heater. 😀

Dan Neil is top on my list for sure! Love me some Studdard, Brockermeyer, Davis, Williams and Tony Hills are in the top 10!

I saw them all too. At one time I thought Dan Neil was the best I had seen, but later I thought it was Blalock. I keep hoping for another Blalock. Without regard to the number on his back or the fact that we remember him as a MLB, in the 1960s the best OL I saw, live, at Texas was Nobis. In fact, I thought he would be an OG in the NFL.
