  1. Past hour
  2. Great player, just a loose cannon.
  3. They just keep digging a deeper hole.
  4. But wait, where’s Campbell?! Shovanec can’t even get through this BS and remember what he’s supposed to say. He’s stumbling all over his words it’s a tragic comedy. I couldn’t watch more than 2 minutes of this trash. “We have a center for addiction and recovery that specializes in helping addicts hide from the consequences of their actions. We’ve found it’s been a shining example of what not to do. We call ourselves the ‘null hypothesis’ and we’re thrilled to see how we can continue to show the world what NOT to do. That’s why we sit here today in fact. Joey, please tell us how you as the football coach are feeling about having this responsibility of managing distraction and ruining the integrity of college sports for the sake of wins?!”
  5. This is getting down right embarrassing. @Bobby Burton and @Gerry Hamilton if you guys haven’t seen this video it’s downright embarrassing and full of more lies. Can not believe it
  6. I absolutely LOVE Coach Schloss - his confident walk, demeanor. Man has a mission. HOOKEM
  7. The Big 12 could couch its response as discipline of its other members. It could say that no conference team can take the field against TT if Sorsby has suited up. Give TT the "wins". Nobody will count those forfeitures against the conference foes, nor take TT's "undefeated" record seriously.
  8. i have alluded to this before. TT had been in the process of gradually building its academic rep over the last decade. It had moved into the top fifth of engineering schools and was attracting National Merit Finalists with full rides. It had done this, quite surprisingly, in Lubbock, Texas. ---- Wealthy donors have done magic for UT and so they could have for TT. I fear Campbell's agenda may send the academic reputation of TT back into the darkness. The State and even the nation really need more first class research institutions that are attractive to top STEM students. Instead, the public and brutal embrace of dishonesty in TT athletics will tar the entire school. Sad.
  9. Today
  10. The AD saying that the integrity of the game is sacred is as hippocritical as it gets. Reminds me of politicians and how they'll say anything to line their pockets and keep themselves in office. This whole ordeal is gross, and the fact that it involves our state and affects the only sport I love is terrible.
  11. I think politics aside, this type of behavior whether team red or blue is unacceptable. It shows a lack of character and that you can be easily bought and paid for. I remember seeing a joke or skit about how politicians should have to wear sponsors on their suits or whatever, so people can see who is paying them lol. Anyway, just pure stupidity. It really has exposed Texas Tech and thee terrible leadership there but also the donors (at least when it comes to Campbell). Not been a great time for them and I'm all for it lol.
  12. Texas energy executive Cody Campbell directly contributed $100,000 to Ken Paxton's legal defense fund following the 2023 House impeachment, later backing Paxton's U.S. Senate campaign with massive financial support given both directly and through associated PACs and dark money groups. BILLIONAIRES get their way YO Some would call this in cahoots
  13. Precisely, it was such a stupid and ignorant comment on Campbell's part.
  14. And the funniest part? That video wasn’t even meant for the fans - it was Tech trying to convince themselves they still run a serious operation. Every line was vague, empty, and terrified of specifics. They didn’t deny anything. They didn’t address anything. They just wrapped all their scandals in soft lighting and hoped nobody noticed the stench. It was a PR lullaby. A crisis‑management bedtime story. A “please clap” moment dressed up as integrity. If that’s the standard in Lubbock now, no wonder the rest of the country is laughing.
  15. Integrity? Tech fans chanting that word after that video is the funniest thing to come out of Lubbock since the last dust storm tried to relocate the entire city. Your program has spent the last month tripping over its own lies, scandals, and self‑inflicted humiliation, and you’re over here acting like a pre‑recorded apology‑video‑with‑background‑music is some kind of moral high ground. Your coach lied publicly and got exposed. Your booster went on radio pretending he could buy out games like he’s the commissioner of college football. Your QB got permanently banned for betting on his own team - the NCAA basically hit him with the sports equivalent of a restraining order. Your AD has been hiding behind scripted videos because he knows the second he takes real questions, the whole façade collapses. And YOU want to talk about integrity? Tech talking about integrity is like a pickpocket giving a TED Talk on financial ethics. That video wasn’t leadership. It was a hostage note from an athletic department begging the rest of the country to stop laughing at them. Spoiler: we’re not stopping
  16. we have the pitching matchup game 1. geo pictcher gives up alot of hits and alot of walks. . we may need 6 or more runs though. if i were sorsby i would bet the horns lfg
  17. Both are great mentions!! Thank you Blake! 🤘🏻🤘🏼🤘🤘🏽🤘🏾🤘🏿
  18. I agree this a nightmare, I agree with your thoughts on Protecting a state university. State of Texas cant donanything criminal, because Sorsby didn't make bets or was underage at the time in Texas. So, it would be a the request of the States and Federal because of cross state, I think, I am no lawyer. But, at the same time cant the Big 12 suspend him if he was under investigation by law enforcement, that would stop all this. End of the day, Campbell should have backed away and cut his losses. But, by doubling down is creating a lose lose for everybody. Whatever, dreams Tech had at being included in the Big boy world of college sports went out the door. How does one suspend a current athlete at Tech from betting on a sport the play. So, you are undercut the Athletic Director and Coach, so why should the players l8sten and how do you discipline. So messed up.
  19. This video is just flat out pathetic. No way these guys actually believe what they are saying. The messaging is so obviously fake, condescending, and disingenuous that I'm not sure if I should be upset or laugh. If you truly care about the player why intentionally place him in the absolute worst position imaginable? Having him play might be best for winning, but it's flat out wrong for the sport, player, and University. Sorsby is now thought of by everyone outside of Lubbock as the poster child for what's wrong with college athletics. And talk about putting pressure on your QB! If this is truly a mental health/addiction issue get him some help and out of this toxic situation by moving on to the NFL.
  20. In track, Texas Men advanced both of the hurdlers expected to score big points with podium finishes. They also have a chance at a few Triple Jump points tomorrow. Projected to finish 19th currently Women's Track also advanced our 400m hurdler and surprised a bit with our 4x1 team advancing. Projected to finish 33rd currently. Importantly Stanford W Track is down 1 of their 4 events as they failed to advance in the 1500 m. Their long shot at adding points to their directors cup score is even less likely now. They did win long jump as expected and will have chances to add a few points in high jump and 800m. Unless they win those events, they won't add points. Projected to finish 23rd (need a top 12 to add any points). What this all means is that Texas M Track could clinch the cup tomorrow. They need only 30 Directors Cup points, which is a 44th place finish and is projected to require 6 points scored in the meet. They are projected to finish 19th with 16.5 points scored. One of our two hurdlers needs to deliver.
  21. Right now it is likely that the 2 dropped sports will be W CC (0 points) and M CC (27 points). Possible that W Track and field falters and scores fewer than 27 points and gets dropped.
  22. Just be aware that it is Cody Campbell and Paxton who have made it political. Not OTF! 🤘🏻🤘🏼🤘🤘🏽🤘🏾🤘🏿
  23. No, you don't understand. Paxton is literally doing his job by representing a state university. Burnt orange glasses are good for Saturdays in the Fall, but for other days I prefer the truth.
  24. University of Texas would have to willingly contradict a long standing NCAA standard of student athletes conduct. No other University has taken that stance other than TTU. Capiche???
  25. Highly doubtful Paxton wins. His corruption stinks too much.
