Big commitment for Texas Baseball. OF Trendyn Motley (Huntersville, NC) has committed to Jim Schlossnagle and the Longhorns. https://www.instagram.com/p/DeAFZpBidHt/?img_index=2 Motley has a Perfect Game 10 rating on his prospect page, and was a standout to many during the 17U Perfect Game All-America Game in August up in Philadelphia. 6-foot-5-inches tall and clocked a 6.8 in the 60m as well. Left-handed stick that has a ton of raw power. Nice get for the Horns.

Must get recruit. Just don't know if Vic will let her play her game -
Same. Had a great visit, first time in Knoxville, everything was great. There was certainly some stress around the end of the game, but it always felt like we were the better team and winning the day. I was shocked (not really pissed?) when I logged on here, and to a lesser degree when I rewatched the broadcast, to the point I actually turned it off after a bit as I didn't want my live experience diminished. Like you, we sat for another 20 mins after the eyes just a great day and great game day experience. Similarly, last year at Ohio State, the game felt MUCH closer live in person than the feeling you got here or on rewatch... We generally do one road and one home game a year now that we live so far (PNW) and even though you miss a lot of detail, I strongly prefer the live experience. 🤘

My kids grew up at the tailgate and DKR. I live in Houston too. I've missed like one home game in 30 years.

South Carolina, Texas, and LSU. She officially visited Texas for Ohio State weekend. Believe LSU is the biggest competition for the Longhorns. Here's our writeup from last month on her: No. 4 — Jezelle “GG” Banks, Guard, St. James Performance (D.C.) Another major target for the Longhorns, Banks is the No. 4 player in the country. She’s effective on and off the ball and is nationally known playmaker. Banks, like Wilson-Manyacka, is at LSU this weekend. With Team USA this year in the AmeriCup she averaged just shy of 14 points, 6.2 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game, while shooting 52 percent from the field. Banks is one of the most coveted recruits in the country and considered a priority target by many, Texas included.

This tracks. It's a lot of effort to attend a game these days living in Houston. Not taking kids (6 and 😎 so not many opportunities. Went to tOSU game. Felt like we were down 40 at half but just happy to be in the stadium. Last week against Tenn watching on television felt way more stressful.

Friday update on Texas LB target Jason Crenshaw Jr. Texas was by Prattville (Ala.) High earlier today to see Georgia Tech LB commit and Texas target Jason Crenshaw Jr. That included defensive coordinator Will Muschamp. OTF talked to a source close to the recruitment and the word is Texas walked away impressed after the in person eval. Crenshaw is a legit 6-1 and 222 pounds. OTF can report that Crenshaw is a “take” for Texas. Crenshaw was offered by Texas September 21. Since that time, OTF’s @Hank Southbroke the news that Crenshaw has scheduled an OV to Texas Oct. 24-25 weekend around the Ole Miss game. Crenshaw originally committed to Georgia Tech over North Carolina.

I think part of the issue is Sark is trying to make his QBs play like NFL QBs and doesn't build his system to their strengths, they have to learn his system the way he built it. Which is fine and dandy when you have a QB with those skills sets. Deboer, Kiffin, etc. utilize QB friendly systems with easy quick reads. Additionally, I think it was Bobby or someone who mentioned this morning that it doesn't seem like Arch can audible when he sees something the defense is showing. So basically if the defense called the right D, he's handcuffed. Sark does motions to see what the defense is going to be and then makes his play call; well today's defenses are advanced enough to show one thing and actually be something else. In essence, they could be baiting Sark into doing what they wanted him to do. My data points would be - when he runs out of choices and has to let Arch play backyard football with no huddle and quick reads. Arch seems to perform significantly better.
