  1. Past hour
  2. We are averaging 19 ppg in regulation the past 9 games vs p4 conference teams
  3. Current OL recruiting rankings and opinion from a casual: Goosby - 413 overall, 26th OT. Bad game but they hit on him Stroh - 613 overall, 41st OT. Big miss, but ranking pans out. Neto - 91overall, 4th IOL. If Stroh beat him out, he was a bad eval and misd Hutson - 362 nationally. 13th IOL. Would say not playing up to that ranking. He’s average. Campbell - 10 nationally, 1st IOL. Hard to live up to that billing, but he’s consistently been a liability and not living up to the standard. Miss Baker - 32 nationally, 2nd OT. Early in career, but clearly struggling. Miss so far. Recruiting matters. I would say Flood’s recruiting philosophy is coming home to roost a bit.
  4. Wow 😂
  5. Also — where is Justus Terry? Remember when he was going to be a pretty big piece this season? So many questions.
  6. Is it time to stop watching the games and find something else to do on Saturday?
  7. Thanks. A dumbfounding decision, among several this offseason. He might have just made some philosophy mistakes this offseason.
  8. @Jeff Howe can you recall a Texas team that had as much offseason hype to turn out this dissapointing so far?
  9. Sorry they don’t practice well enough and aren’t in the circle of trust. We will continue to force a useless Ryan Niblett out there
  10. Imagine what this would have been like if they had their full defensive line this game. They had like 3 guys out, including Banks the 1st rounder.
  11. On the last touchdown drive, Arch using his legs and finding guys off schedule was working well. We should roll Arch more to give the threat of his legs to get guys open. This offense is boring.
  12. If Texas is smart they will start using that younger talent across the board. This year may be a rebuilding year but they sure could get the youngsters a bunch of run and see where things shake out. The guys that they are leaning on now are 3 and 4 year guys and ovviosly not the answer.
  13. We’ve never had an identity on offense under Sark unless you consider underperforming it’s identity
  14. FWIW Ohio St is rebuilding this year and that’s what this team should look like in a rebuilding year if we had a offensive coaching staff worth a crap
  15. It seems as though, instead of ramping up the things that make his offense tough to stop, given the turnover, Sark has given the offense little margin for error, trying to beat teams straight up. The offense doesn't have an identity. Other than Arch's legs, there's nothing they do well enough to lean on right now.
  16. Next week is the biggest game of Sark’s career. If he cannot perform, we probably have found out what kind of coach he is.
  17. And that OL under performed
  18. It was obvious to many of us. But somehow not obvious to our coaching staff. Nice job fellas
  19. Absolutely
  20. Rebuilding means you have young players getting experience to be better the next year. This OL is old and terrible. That’s not rebuilding. No one in the RB room is looking like a difference maker regardless of age. Young WR aren’t getting reps or stepping up. So that’s not rebuilding. Arch is a third year player in the program.
  21. French wasn't a 5* and wasn't pursued nationally like one either. That's why missing on DK Moore really sucked.
  22. Biggest Disappointments on Offense and What to Change Now 1. The Offensive Line: We talked about the O-Line in pre-season as if we wouldn't miss a beat from having to replace 4 out of 5 starters from a Top 5 O-Line in the country. That was extremely naive in retrospect. This O-line could end up being very good in 2026 or 2027, but this 2025 iteration is simply not good enough. Change Needed: 1) Start Nick Brooks at LG going forward so we can at least prepare him for 2026. Stroh and Neto are already in year 4 and have had multiple chances, and they clearly do not meet the bar. 2) Start Conner Robertson or Daniel Cruz at Center. Cole Hutson is already in year 4 and he is who he is - a liability at Center and a serviceable backup at Guard. 2. The Offensive Skill Positions: We need more playmakers on the field, and should roll the dice with more talented young players rather than older more "reliable" players. Change Needed: 1) Stop playing Ryan Niblett (at WR, RB, or punt returner). He goes down too easily on first contact, has no wiggle/bounce, and has track speed but not football speed...enough already with his high snap counts. Replace him with Jonah Williams on PR, and give Daylon McCutcheon his snaps at WR. 2) James Simon and Jerrick Gibson need to play ahead of Christian Clark (and even take some load off of Tre Wisner). We need RBs who run violently, make one cut, and go upfield and lean on people for 3-4 yards. This is even more important because our OL doesn't maul people - so we need RBs who can do more of the mauling and give us an identity on the ground. Let's let the young bucks get more run.
  23. We were ranked number 1 pre-season and we aren't even top 30.
