@Jeff HoweGood read, I will say that to ease up on Arch seems like it makes sense but a little after the fact beneficial. If he was a freshman with zero starts understand. Two years sitting waiting his turn, knowing the offense and to make that many poor throws and mistakes just gotta call it what it was. Ohio state level is The SEC minus MS state… Big expectations for Texas, just got a dose of reality. Still can be good season for sure

Texas at Ohio State Live Game Thread
Dread-headed Texan replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Our recievers wasn't what kept us in the game, our ability to get push up the middle did. That's Michigan all day with a runner in Bryce. -
Sark has to create a counter to what these teams are doing.

Texas at Ohio State Live Game Thread

If their name weren’t Michigan, they wouldn’t worry me. They don’t have near the WR/TE and D talent that Texas does. Until Ohio State actually beats Michigan though, I’m not going to assume it’s a W. -
Week One: Charting Arch Manning's Passes (Ohio State)

What's strangely amusing is that we talked about this all off-season. We knew as soon as Arch had an off performance the national media and haters would go nuts. What's strange is that some Texas media and fans are falling into it. I'm sure media guys are doing it for clicks. Arch hasn't forgotten the fundamentals of footwork and mechanics of throwing. We've already seen that consistently. Competition doesn't change fundamentals. That's why you work fundamentals. He pressed too hard in his first big road start. This is the easiest thing in the world to diagnose. -
A Nuss like performance is good enough if the run game is what it was yesterday. Those were good game manager type stats.

One of the biggest concerns I took from this is Brooks saying Sark's become predictable. Says similar in his last vid too that Georgia, Vandy, OSU have prepped Sark's system and have been able to take away Texas WR routes. But I also see why Sark wouldn't get more creative or complex if his QB wasn't able to make the easy throws to begin with.

Which is why I hope Arch has people around him who can give him good advice on how to handle the crazy noise. Hope Arch just turns off all his social media apps and concentrate on what he needs to do. Good or bad, social media attention is a huge distraction. As painful as it was, I looked at Texas v OSU again. I saw glimmers of an elite Offense led by an elite Arch. Obviously they’re not there yet, but watching it again made me feel better

I, for one, am not going to sour on Arch (as I have seen many do nationally and locally) after one poor game. We have all seen the talent on display. We saw a few flashes of it yesterday. Our Oline will continue to improve, our RBs will only get stronger, and our WRs (while apparently lacking a true game changer like OSU or Alabama has) have more than enough size and speed to concern 99% of DCs in America. I believe we will see considerable improvement over the next 4-5 games.

Didn’t watch but didn’t expect Arch to be that uncomfortable that long. His lack of accuracy and touch on easy throws like mesh was surprising. He missed on some reads as well not understanding down and distance. He did play better as the game wore on. He’s human and felt the pressure. His learning curve will be steeper than we all assumed or thought. It blindsided me for sure. I expected more from being in his 3rd year and 3rd start.

I’m actually not even talking about the game. I’m talking nuance and trends but that’s something you probably know little about, huh? And as for your question, i don’t believe any of these “experts” or “sources” I only trust my eyes bc I’ve seen this kool aid poured before

50% of Arch's passes were to the left side. Only 13.33% in the middle of the field. 36.67% to the right side of the field. -
I saw him on the field.
