  1. Past hour
  2. Was told by a source this morning that Tyler Atkinson is roughly 6-2 and sitting at about 222 pounds right now. Likely to be around 225 when the season starts. The initial roster has him at 6-1, 216.
  3. When a team doesnt win a natty it has to be upgraded not just fill holes look what Miller did he upgraded. Even Sark upgraded not sure why Schloss cannot do that
  4. 1000%. That doesn’t even include Linkin Garcia who everyone wanted. We didn’t have as many holes to fill as everyone else either. Paz knew he wasn’t going to start at Texas and he will at UGA. It’s really not very hard to figure out why he didn’t pick Texas
  5. Okay, homer. When our team has more holes than other teams, we cannot afford to miss as often. We have already missed on several top targets, including Angel Laya, Bino Watters, Nate Savoie, and now Paz (which were all top targets), but you are too much of a sunshine pumper to see it. You can be constructive at times, but it is pointless talking to you.
  6. Which Longhorns Join an All-Conference Team in 2026? *** I was going through reasons for optimism with this Texas roster and came across the conversation of All-Conference level players. Based off of just the 2025 seasons, this is what the 2026 roster shakes out when it comes to players who received All-Conference honors. Consider this, but also include the likes of Arch Manning, Cam Coleman, Emmett Mosley V, Jelani McDonald, Hero Kanu, Melvin Siani, Ian Geffrard and Brad Spence are all set to fill out the roster. So I pose this question: Which Longhorn, who has not received an previous All-Conference honors, is most likely to be listed on the All-SEC roster by year's end? Arch Manning and Cam Coleman probably lead the way. Any bites on a Kade Phillips? What about a Melvin Siani? Let me know what you think.
  7. It's pretty funny how scared you get anytime someone announces for another school not named Texas and the conspriacy theories you come up with. Should we have gone after players who weren't as talented so that we don't have as many "misses" and you could feel better? The competition for good players is intense. Sorry, we aren't going to bat 1.000. We beat Georgia for Ian Armstrong. We beat Tennessee and LSU for Sawyer Solitaria. We beat South Carolina for Gavin King. But feel free to keep worrying.
  8. Him picking UGA is all about fit. He wouldn’t have been a weekend starter at Texas next year and he will be at UGA. Simple as that. We’re going to have Volantis , cozart , and Winter/Walls/Crossland/Rangel/Jorgenson/one of the other big time freshman arms fight it out for the third weekend spot next year. UGA lost all 3 of their weekend starters.. It’s really not hard to figure out why he picked them. UGA also has 7 guys in their HS class and were going to end up bringing in 18.. Those guys cost money.
  9. My thoughts? Offense: QB, LG, C, RT, TE Defense: DT, NT, LC, RC, SS, FS
  10. We have more depth this year. I’m not sure it’s that close. Few of the non-starters were impactful at Texas much less the NFL. The redshirts were great, but they weren’t playing. The starters were great, but there was a falloff. The portal makes much of that possible.
  11. It’s been said here that we are in the top portion with this many misses it has to be staff or someone negatively recruiting against us. Uga has beaten us this past year pretty easily with a team full of transfers
  12. Everything you need to know from this clip is what Sauce says at the end: "If I had an NFL player (come through in HS) I would do the same thing."
  13. That D Line!! Phew, there were some DUDES o-line too. The secondary you got Aaron Ross second team! Man they were fierce. That backfield was legit! Selvin was your 3rd back! I will say we have more depth a receiver this year by far and TE. Should be interesting to see what that d line looks like when the dust settles I think we may have as good or better depth and talent there than we did in 2005. QB depth is definitely better this season. Hypothetical, if Arch takes us to the promised land this season how close does he come to over taking VY as the greatest/most favorite QB in Texas history? VY is still my guy but Arch would be close if he does what we think he can this year!
  14. Today
  15. Eric Foreman is a name that I didn't realize was on that team. Had huge talent at LB, but wanted to play offense so he transferred. I think he is in prison (or was) now for some reason. Sadly I wish he had stayed at UT and fulfilled his potential.
  16. Cosby played quite a bit in the season and in the USC game, in my recall. David Thomas was so good as a receiver and Ramonce was often a slot as a practical matter so there were no shortage of targets for Vince. If you don't remember how that was the best OL ever at Texas just watch the two point conversion at the end of the USC game. Robison and Crowder were the best pair of Edges Texas ever had. Robison was a Pro Bowler. The FB had a decent NFL career, one of the RBs led the NFL in rushing, another had a good career, and a third one played DE in the League. And then there was the tragedy of Ramonce. That team was astonishing. 70-3 in the Big 12 Champ game. Ask Joel Klatt. And I didn't mention the QB. If this team goes 16-0 and floods the NFL with the ROY and several Pro Bowlers over time let me know.
  17. It’s ok Bobby won’t find us this deep in the thread lol 😂
  18. I have season tickets in the East Campus Garage. I find anything closer than that means a very dragged out entry and exit. Parking on campus takes forever.
  19. Weigand deserves recognition for how good he was.
  20. He mentions Kelvin Banks, but Christian Jones was just as good as him that season and was drafted and still on a roster. Hayden Conner also got drafted and is still on a roster. Brennan Marion gonna Brennan Marion. Let's see how his Inspector Gadget offense fares this time around
  21. We’re down to 52 days until kickoff, so today’s countdown spot goes to some pretty solid names in burnt orange. Samuel Cosmi turned into one of the best offensive tackles Texas has had in recent years, earned second-team All-America honors in 2020, was first-team All-Big 12 that same season, and wound up as a second-round NFL Draft pick. He also did something you almost never see from a Texas offensive lineman: scoring a rushing touchdown. Charlie Tanner deserves some love too. He was a dependable piece of the offensive line in the late 2000s, played in 45 games with 33 starts, earned all-conference recognition, and started every game for the 2009 Big 12 championship team that played for the national title. DJ Campbell played in 50 games with 43 starts and became a steady presence up front over the last few years. He was a big part of the lines that helped Texas reach back-to-back College Football Playoffs and the 2024 SEC Championship Game. Current No. 52 is freshman defensive lineman James Johnson.
  22. That team was so stacked. Lt's do a head-to-head comparison after the season.
  23. Man, that 2005 defensive backfield.... wow. What a team and year that was. A lot of similarities to this team in terms of depth - if anything, feels like we are deeper now. As said above - WR seems like a stronger room now, but overall a lot of either/ors for me. Of course, we know how that year played out and still have to see this year, but the pieces are there. Let's go! 🤘
  24. What makes this even more hilarious is they lost Seaton to the portal. He was the best lineman they had. Talk about gassing up. That was very foolish and is a terrible look on his credibility.
