  1. Past hour
  2. If you trust your defense against a freshman QB, why hand him the ball at midfield with under three minutes left? Make him drive the length of the field. And the fourth and 12 conversion doesn’t excuse the original decision. Two bad plays don’t somehow make the first one a good coaching decision. That’s situational football, something Sark has repeatedly struggled with. And it’s exactly why his decision making and play calling responsibilities are under serious scrutiny.
  3. I don’t mind going for it but I hated handing the ball off five yards deep. Arch should have been under center.
  4. More curious about why the snap wasn’t taken under center.
  5. All the more reason to go if you trust your defense and are facing a backup QB. A Florida drive starting at midfield shouldn’t scare you. And the decision would have worked out either way if said defense didn’t allow a 4th and 12 conversion to that backup QB right after.
  6. I wonder what the average yards our passing targets were on balls thrown beyond the LOS ? I bet it is at least 15 yards or more but I am too lazy to research it.
  7. vegas must've heard about our week of practice 😂😂 there is no hope
  8. Context matters. You’re up 17–3 with under three minutes left in the half against a freshman QB making his first start. You fail on fourth down at midfield, hand Florida a short field, and they score before halftime. They then score 17 more unanswered points and turn a 17–3 deficit into a 27–17 lead. That’s 24 straight points. The issue isn’t whether other coaches go for it. It’s understanding the game situation, managing risk, and recognizing when you don’t need to gamble. That’s coaching.
  9. Almost all coaches are going for that. It’s 4th and 1 foot at midfield and you had moved the ball well up to that point and just picked up 14 yards the play before.
  10. Texas ATS this year is 1-5. Covered the first game of the year. Not since. We also had a poor record of covering last year too. Use that info as you will. And the ole miss like started at Texas -6.5 and quickly moved.
  11. Vegas knows what they are doing. 27-24 Ole Miss. Three in a row of the same score for the Horns. Everything will be evaluated after the game 😉. I’m enjoying life at Hays City Store today 🍻
  12. Maybe he’s more like his dad than his brothers 🤷‍♂️
  13. The offense as currently constructed doesn’t use the middle of the field, nor RBs or TE’s down field in the passing game. I think that’s because of Arch’s lack of timing and touch on short to intermediate throws. If that’s the case, doesn’t Sark need to change QBs to create more flexibility in the offense? If Lacey can get Bishop, Mosley, the RBs, and TEs involved I think it creates positive momentum and forces DCs to reconsider how they are attacking the offense.
  14. The Rams were going in for a 2pt. score, Stafford got sacked, fumbled, picked uo by a lineman, Collier, he rumbles for a touchdown with a cavalcade of blockers, out of nowhere, J-Whitt eludes the blockers and makes the tackle.
  15. A culture of mental toughness anchored by a physical, tough OL is always the starting point for any team. Same for DL is just as important. Texas doesn't have that because that isnt Sark. Never has been. Flood has been mediocre without Saban's 5 star OL.
  16. Even if he was it’s not like we can beat a backup QB lol
  17. Today
  18. That just seems wrong. I would have thought ole Piss was favored by 5+ with Texas being home and receiving the normal 3 for home field. I dont bet and I hope Texas rises from the ashes but unless there is some type of miraculous turn around, I'd take ole piss straight up. 31 to 21 ole miss
  19. I'm past changing the chairs on the titanic. It's over.
  20. coaches respected Ewers, they don’t respect Arch
  21. Defensive coaches neutralize all of that, simply cave the oline in, overload pressure, watch it fall apart
  22. I just wanna know what happened to the creativity in offense. What happened to the misdirection and trick plays we used to see every game?
  23. Both of Sarkisian’s 4th down attempts got stuffed and led to two Florida TDs off short fields. Not understanding the situation that you have a team led by your defense and a first time starter. Going 80-95 yards as opposed to 50 or less is common sense. A week prior he didn’t go for it and kicked a FG that missed. Sarkisian hasn’t learned from anything.
