34-14 Ole Miss. This defense has a huge setback without Colin.

I’d love to see this kid get a shot.

Miami Potentially Going Independent?

Met him at a Jalen Lott practice at Panther Creek last spring. Good dude. Also kinda interesting that he comes from the Mumme and Holgorsen trees. Curious what HC opportunities he'll get -
If the over/under on KJ Lacey snaps is set at 0.5... WYD?
-
He doesn’t have to be perfect, make the zone read plays, get the ball out and throw a competitive ball. Thats for both quarterbacks

I’ve been negative all week but we’re going to win this game. You gotta have some optimism or hope, why else would you watch? -

41-14 Ole Miss ends the playoff dream and pitchforks come out. -

We have yet to put together a complete game yet have held double digits leads in all but one game. The outlier was against the #1 team in the country, we all know the outcome of that game. This Saturday, Texas plays its first complete game of the season. You are going to see this offense go off for 41 points and win in a shootout. Hook 'Em!

Hard to pick this one since we can't really read what Sark is thinking/doing to truly fix the issues. Heart tells me we pull it out by making a big play at the end of the game 31-30 but my brain says they embarrass us 37-23 cause Sark waits to long to see Center/Arch and Special Teams are the major issues with this team.

They're part of the history of our program. My experience as a fan is in part defined by the head coaches who have coached our athletic squads. I'm liable to bring up Black, Lemons, Wetlich, Penders, or Barnes, as well. And certainly Smart, who managed to exceed Wetlich as a complete disaster of a hire. Same in football. Royal, Akers, McWilliams, Mackovic, Brown, Strong, Herman, and now Sarkisian, plus whoever comes next. They're all a part of it. I'm hopeful we're about to enter the sort of golden age we experienced in the 2000s. I thought that was going to last until I died. But it didn't. I'd love to see us put together a string of Sweet 16s and better. We'll see. -

That's idiotic. What are you supposed to do? You have to cover the team. And frankly, you've always liked Rodney Terry. I LIKE Rodney Terry. But you can't come out and say you don't think he'll be a good coach after he's been hired. I can say, just for the record, that Gerry has always felt like Sean Miller would be a great hire. Even the first go around when Terry got the job, he liked Sean Miller. That's not to cast aspersions on Terry. Gerry simply thought Miller would be a good fit. So far it's looking like he was right. -

Miami Potentially Going Independent?
Hornmatic replied to CJ Vogel's topic in On Texas Football Forum
There is a rich tradition of independents in cfb. Everyone was independent at one point and more schools should go back. Miami, Florida St, Penn St, BYU, West Virginia, and Virginia Tech were all independent into the 90s. -

Putting all our hope into Sark becoming a different coach seems like a fairly significant point in his tenure. -

Cautiously optimistic for no reason other than CFB makes no sense this season. -

I’m optimistic about all these losses compiling may compel some change in coaching after this season. I’m not rooting against Texas but, I am rooting against Sark right now. -
If the defense can get some turnovers and give the offense a short field, then Texas has a solid chance to win.
