  1. Past hour
  2. Arch and Goosby both could have come out and been first rounders. We added Moseley and had Moore and Wingo. It’s likely one of those would not have been happy. Plus Endries and some highly recruited high schoolers. There’s a good chance an additional WR does play out as it does in your mind. As far as guard is concerned, that’s an interesting discussion. I don’t recall any discussion about Hutson not being a starter. Generally speaking, we were ok letting Baker and Cojoe battle it out. Going back 12 months, it’s difficult to see Neto or Kibble or Hutson to guard not being viable options. None of us are there all the time, but you’d assume that a well thought of recruit in his 4th year would work out fine. And we had two choices - Neto or Robertson. There are a multitude of things that could have gone differently to make the playoffs. It is a little ironic that Arch was blamed early on but almost is blameless in today’s discussions.
  3. Today
  4. Our lack of draftable offensive talent says a lot. We have enormous talent in the wings but we sure dropped the ball last offseason. I think we would have made the playoffs if we had added another WR and OG.
  5. There's something about exclusivity. Those 2:30 SEC games on CBS were always special.
  6. These is by far one of the worst draft classes in football history. These GMs on some of these teams wonder why their team sucks, jets and Cardinals look at thier draft. It is crazy.
  7. Shoutout Sark for even hanging with OSU I guess. Arch faced a defense with an NFL coordinator and 5 top-2 rounders in his first start.
  8. I agree with this. Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson epitomized SEC ball for me, even with all the Urban/Saban butt kissing
  9. Muhammad got terrible advice
  10. He never returned Texas' calls and texts once Tech made him an offer he couldn't refuse (minus the horse head). Bailey kept ignoring calls from Tech until these two texts: "I have the deal of a lifetime for you. Give me a call, bro." and "David, give me 120 seconds to have a convo with you. If you're not interested after that, I'll leave you alone." He was intrigued and called. The offer was supposedly for over $3 million for one year. Texas wasn't going to offer him double what Simmons was likely making. Article here in ESPN
  11. I always felt like CBS did the best job of capturing the crowd and atmosphere in their production. I think a some of the SEC hype and mystique came from that. Not sure why it is so hard for ESPN to do the same.
  12. It really has been surprising how many TE have been taken already. I know Endries wasn't mocked to go in the 3rd, but with this many taken, teams may take him earlier than anticipated. We will see. It seems odd that Manny hasn't gone yet with the number of DBs that have been taken, but the last 3 have all had high numbers of INTs in their careers. That was something Manny just couldn't do in game during his 3 years. We will see...
  13. Actually they were 11-0 with a win over Notre Dame at one point, before falling on their face against Texas and Miami to finish 11-2
  14. Grubbs is way off last year's form. Not sure what has happened, but sure wish they could get that back.
  15. With the academic standards Texas has, how many dudes fell off the board?? UGA pre req is an arrest record...Texas you have to be relatively intelligent and have the grades. Id bet this has cost Texas several draft picks....
  16. TTU Doubled the Texas offer.
  17. I think Crossland is right there also, Winter can still be another for us as well but he’s gotta get healthy
  18. Cozart really is the only bullpen pitcher we can trust lol
  19. Have to think Manny would have benefitted from a year playing effective press man under Muschamp..
  20. Many of these players should have returned.
