  7. As of 4:20pm CT Tuesday ... 12 Goosby Baker Robertson Dylan Sikorski Chatman Cojoe Coleman Coleman Christian Turntine Robertson Sherer
  8. shaping up to be another boring livestream tonight.
  9. Do guys like these fill up indianas roster and that’s why they’re undefeated playing for a natty?
  10. Yeah. I don’t really know the rationale behind it. It’s wild. Currently, football kids can technically play in 9 games and redshirt. 4 regular season games + conference championship + 4 CFP games, but obviously very rare circumstance. Really no idea where the 9 came from.
  11. How many OL do we even have? Like 5?
  12. I think you would be surprised how many players on this roster are being, and have been, recruited, especially ones with the upside of Brooks. Other teams have money and room for longer development curves to play immediately.
  13. I get not retaining everyone, especially at positions where you can reload every year through the portal (like WR for example). But you gotta retain some guys. I really don't like Brooks leaving. I really don't. Bo Barnes too.
  14. All true. However, there is a third category “Players Texas could’ve acquired in the Portal anytime they wanted to”, and (conveniently) all of those players above would fall into this category. Problem solved! 😂
  15. I find this a dangerous game to play especially with Brooks entering the portal today. He had been mentioned as someone the staff really liked, but rather than pay him to keep and develop they let him walk. I like how 2026 is shaping up but beyond that is not looking all that great. I cannot help but think Sark is loading up for 2026 and then he'll head to the NFL with Arch after this season.
  16. The value of the mid 4 star level prospects and high 3 star is all but gone. No one wants to sit and develop anymore, nor are some schools willing to let these guys develop. Just seems like a very volatile new age in college football.
  17. ok for real though, wtf is going on with the OL
  18. This is why this is a dangerous new era for a college football program Was looking at NFL Draft picks since Steve Sarkisian got to Austin. There have been 28 players selected in the NFL Draft since 2023. There are two categories I'm putting guys into in the current era or forget development, and it's portal os bust. The two categories are: Wouldn't likely have been signed out of high school, and wouldn't likely have been retained to fully develop Wouldn't likely have been signed out of high school ... Byron Murphy - no chance Texas would have signed him out of HS Jahdae Barron - very little chance to no chance Texas would have signed him out of HS. T'Vonde Sweat - not likely signed out of HS. Christian Jones - zero chance signed out of HS. Jaylan Ford - not very likely signed out of HS. Gunnar Helm - 50/50 would have been signed out of HS. Barryn Sorrell - not very likely signed out of HS. Wouldn't likely have been retained to fully develop ... Vernon Broughton - not likely retained Moro Ojomo - not likely retained Jonathon Brooks - possibly not retained. Jaydon Blue - not likely retained. Alfred Collins - 50/50 at best if retained early in career. DeMarvion Overshown - 50/50 if retained early in career. Jordan Whittington - 50/50 at best if he would have been retained after first two years.
  19. Riojas was moved Into the weekend rotation out of necessity last year. Think the staff would rather use him in more of a stopper role where you bring him into games where the opposition is threading late in the game rather then a closer role at the very end of a game. They can use him multiple innings to close out a game or situational depending on where he is innings wise in a series. Grubbs can also give you multiple innings on the back-end as well. I'm curious to see if they go with a traditional closer or let Riojas and Grubbs close out games in multiple inning outings. The offense feels more versatile where they're not relying on the long ball as much as in previous years. On paper they look like the can score runs in multiple ways. Can't wait for the season to get Hook'em
  20. I’m completely delusional and I’m telling my self we are getting Brunner (I’m coping)
  21. Look at their damn roster dude. A transfer from Notre Dame. The top backup in terms of snaps. Freshman. One guy spent two years at Indiana, left and returned. The other 3 are Indiana guys. Not exactly portal city.
  22. NGL I'm ready for this portal window to end... hate seeing guys that I followed closely in recruiting leave the program. Especially really young guys.. the older guys I get it. Just hate it. For sure fun if next year we're really good but don't like all the uncertainity and lack of relationships that come with building a team through the portal. Not on the staff though, they're just doing what they think is best for the program and they're doing a great job so far.
  23. i prefer streaking
