Big 12 taking legal action against Texas Tech
Roy Hinojosa replied to Hank South's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Texas Tech was planning on playing Sorsby come hell or high water. They have chosen to be pariahs, but why? Texas Tech clearly lives in a bubble, and thought because they openly challenge Texas that everyone would just be ok for them to do whatever they wanted. Here's another thing, they're clearly not used to being the hated ones. The way they've acted out to anyone who calls them out shows how sensitive and thin-skinned they truly are. As a Texas fan, I'm so used to all the hate it's become a badge of honor. For Tech, they take their ball and go home. -

One interesting thing about the judge is she was originally nominated to the federal bench by Obama but her nomination expired. Then she was renominated by Trump. She was a respected litigator before she took the bench. The lawyer representing the Big 12 is a BYU graduate who represented the Big 12 in thr House settlement and litigation. Should be a fun case to monitor as there wonβt be a lot of gamesmanship in federal court. -

BJ hands down!! Then D. Lew for arguably the second most important catch by a TE in Texas history! -
I enjoyed all the fights last night. Most seemed to me one sided affairs. The last one was 12 on a 10 scale. Hell of a fight.

Weβre 82 days away from Texas football, and todayβs countdown features B.J. Johnson, Corby Robertson, Derek Lewis and Geoff Swaim. Johnson brought the biggest receiving production, Robertson carried the strongest honors resume, Lewis earned first-team All-Big 12 recognition and a Super Bowl ring, and Swaim became a dependable blocking tight end who reached the NFL. Who would you choose as the best Longhorn to wear No. 82?

I agree to an extent--if he plays, then yes. If he never plays, then it's just bad publicity for him--they didn't break any rules of playing someone that should have been ineligible. my 2 cents. -

Steamboat Willie replied to Hank South's topic in On Texas Football Forum
If the Big 12 wins this lawsuit, Sorsby could still be allowed to play because of the Texas court order. What the Big 12 would win is the right to punish Texas Tech for choosing to play him. At that point, the question isn't can Sorsby play, it is whether Tech values having him on the field more than whatever penalties the conference decides to impose. -
@Blake Munroe and @CJ Vogel have some portal notes in this thread ahead of the team's elimination game in Omaha against Alabama:
