Yeah it is at the Opening Nike Camp that restarted this year. 120 Elite athletes and UT has a few there with Royal, Meredith, and James until he flips lol. And Lawrence who just committed. Surprised not a Thread on it yet. Still couple more days left , definitely an elite experience for them. All our guys for 7 on 7 are on Team Southwest except for Lawrence on Team Southeast.

I agree. Our minor league franchises have done well with fans and my granddaughters always want to go. Success would be pretty likely from day one.

I’d be surprised if Austin gets a team over Houston. Houston has been on the NHL’s wishlist for a long time. I’d have thought the Rockets owners would be the main group that’s interested. Austin supports the AHL well, correct? So this could work in Austin.

You may be right about it working in Austin, but I'm certain it will work in Houston. Hockey did well in Houston before, and it's a different time and era today. There's a solid hockey fanbase there already and the Houston metro area is so big, they'll have no problem selling season tickets and building a strong fan base. The love to hate Dallas already so this will just add fuel to the fire.
