What’s also inevitable is the Dodgers 3-peating. Everyone else is playing for second place.

34 Days Until Kickoff: This Is a No Brainer
Dawson Yarbrough replied to Blake Munroe's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Thanks Blake! An amazing career. Still crazy the Saints traded all their picks to draft him. Imagine that today. Teams have a hard time giving up late round picks, let alone their entire draft. Hook em!- 1 reply

There was never any debate about who would represent No. 34. By the time his Texas career ended, Ricky Williams had rewritten both the Longhorn and NCAA record books. He rushed for 6,279 career yards and 72 rushing touchdowns, both still Texas records, while piling up 7,206 all-purpose yards and setting 21 NCAA records and 46 school records. His 1998 season remains one of the greatest individual campaigns in college football history: 2,124 rushing yards 27 rushing touchdowns 2,386 all-purpose yards Led the nation in rushing Rushed for a school-record 350 yards against Iowa State Broke Tony Dorsett’s NCAA career rushing record against Texas A&M And, of course, the hardware followed: Heisman Trophy Two-time Doak Walker Award Two-time Unanimous All-American Maxwell Award Walter Camp Player of the Year AP Player of the Year Sporting News Player of the Year Today, his No. 34 is one of the few retired jerseys in Texas football history.

Someone compared him to Lamichael James, which seemed like a solid comp

My bold prediction is that Emmett Mosley will have an exceptional season and be selected in the late first round to early second round of the NFL draft.

On what side of the ball though, both or just offensive firepower?

Posted in another thread, but Dylan Sampson is kinda where I'm leaning. Sampson likely has a longer wing, but similar frames. 2024 SEC offensive POTY at Tennessee

I like MJD. I also like D'Andre Swift.

Bobby and Gerry have made the Maurice jones drew comp.

Who is LWC’s best comparison? I haven’t seen anyone say that he has a comp but he’s definitely not your typical small running back like a Darren Sproles or Clyde Edwards-Elaire.

Texas finishes with a top 3 recruiting class after a natty season

I had been to SA that weekend to visit my GF and was driving back hime for my 10 am class in the English Bldg. I had to be at work at noon, and I had an important errand after class which would have taken me on to the Main Mall, down to the Co-Op, and back to go to my car. I do not know the timing of all this with Whitman’s opening fire, but I definitely would have been in harm’s way if I tarried long at the Co-Op. instead, I decided to cut my class and to run the errand later, and I went home to get ready for work. My Dad called and said: “I am glad you are home. There is a guy on the Tower shooting people.” “Oh, sure,” says I, and he said “Turn on the radio.” I was glued to a radio the rest of the day. TV was not a factor then.

Lb for Lb thats not what is going to move the pile…. Sark gotta be more creative and give Arch complete control to change plays at LScrimage. if Indiana redzone offense is that lethal … so can Texas. Last yr we had no rb thatcould power in or create hesitancy.

Fascinating details

Jermaine Bishop is our goto Everything Wr ! He will be dynamic …otherworldly! Jelani = most interceptions for last half of the season! 1rst rnd like play

Correction to be clear, I am only saying OGs among the COJO, Chapman, Coleman, and Paterson
-
Viability of an OL platoon for 3rd and short, especially inside the 10 yard line. If I am correct there will be no power gap scheme, no pulling OG. Condensed filled therefore go with bigger IOL ie COJO, Chapman, Coleman, Paterson. Special teams too FG unit. 350+ size guys in theory should be able to push the pile, can they get low enough to not move backwards? Just looking for an answer to short yardage against Ohio State and SEC DL. If they can get that resolved I would feel a Natty mentality throughout the season in every game. Am I correct? That would be the story coming out of Fall practices IMO.
