  1. Past hour
  2. Gerry -- Where on the list would you have placed Curt Cignetti prior to the '25-'26 season? After Coach Sark wins the '26-'27 Natty, where would you expect to place him?! Hook 'Em!
  3. Thanks again for the reference to Sonny Alvarado... The player from Roseburg, Oregon was Rich Parson, a 6'7" Center who averaged 5.6 pts and 5.5 rebs in '74-'75 when the team went 10-15 under Leon Black and was the final team to play their home games in Gregory Gym. Also on that team was the lefty Forward Ed Johnson, who I remembered because he played his high school basketball at the same school in Fort Worth my mother had attended back in the 1940s. Hook 'Em!
  4. Thanks! I wasn't sure about his last name, but I definitely remembered his tattoos...he was a leading edge trendsetter because he was inked just before the trend began where tattoos were popular on basketball players again after being largely absent for years. Hook 'Em!
  5. Today
  6. 2 years but most of same guys/core and if I'm not wrong some JMU came over w him as well... Going off top of my head so could be wrong. And definitely not saying he isn't a top coach, just not sure he should launch to top of the list just yet... Let's see what he does this year after losing a bunch... 🤘
  7. Especially if we blow the lead more often than he’s able to throw a CG.
  8. Volantis as a 5 inning guy is not worth the trade off from closer.
  9. First bit of adversity tonight and they lost. Top 3 arms out of the pen choked. Schloss better channel some Augie vibes in that locker room.
  10. I still have confidence in our team. We have to figure out who can come in and throw strikes down the stretch. I think Lefew needs to be moved to closer and let someone else be the middle relief. He’s the only one who comes in and shuts it down.
  11. Next game Saturday 12 noon Ole Miss.
  12. Everyone gets dropping games in SEC play, but you CANNOT drop games like that.
  13. That loss sucks. Up 7-3 going into the top of the 9th
  14. Absolute bullpen disaster but happens sometimes. At least Schloss gets to shave the d broom
  15. Embarrassing bullpen tonight , truly pathetic stuff. Would rather give up 5 solo shots in a row than to hit and walk guys like that.
  16. I can confidently that pitching is not this team’s strength.
  17. We have beat ourselves tonight. Had plenty of chances to win and our pitching let us down. Lots of baseball left, I hope our relief pitching improves. This team has fight but we shouldn’t be fighting ourselves.
  18. Gaspo was a stud until he wasn’t. I’m not saying Tinney can’t be good, but he’s been an absolute liability in the 2 hole.
  19. That’s like 5th grade spelling and grammar man, it’s not hard.
  20. That’s like 5th grade spelling and grammar man, it’s not hard.
  21. How many times have you seen an SEC team mow down all comers in a season and then get bounced in a Regional. This team, like all teams, needs to grow throughout the season, that's a lot easier to do when your flaws get exposed and you have to face adversity so hopefully this is the good adversity that leads to growth. I liked watching them win 16 in a row, but even I started hoping for a loss. And JMarquette, there was supposedly this great bat on the team last year named Will Gasparino, who slumped and spiraled, so much so that he transferred to UCLA where he is knocking the cover off the ball. Weird s*** happens in a baseball season.
