One thing that I think is underrated by SEC shorts is how they are consistent with who plays the character for each school. From my memory, seems it's always the same person who plays the specific school in each video.

Being there during Don’t Stop Believin’ was a core memory.

Don't get why drops have become such a big problem since last year. Is Chris Jackson not emphasizing it properly? Even the easiest catches are going through their hands.

Some guys look like they are really talented in their uniforms, Parker looks so out of place in a OU uniform and seems to play like it as well.

Second lowest completion percentage in the conference with 0 drops. Crazy inaccurate.

Mateer has 0% drops because he can't even get the ball near his guys' hands.

Right? Because the fluke interception off Cam Coleman was something they caused . . . or Ryan Wingo's dropped TD. Credit for the fumble on the 1st play, but Texas was shooting themselves in the foot a bunch of times.

I understand the question (and even asked that night at the game whether they would). And Day said in his postgame that they talked about it. But given our history and the fact that one of the plays was actually ruled a fumble, I actually think they made the right call.

We need to get Devin Duvernay to come provide lessons in how he practically never dropped a pass thrown his way.

That exposed a flaw in their team, they don't trust the O-line to open holes and felt that the Sayin-Smith connection was higher percentage (understandably as they are great players).

In my mind, Day's flaw was to go away from the run, which may have bled the clock so we may not have had time to tee up on the goal line. The last series, they were 3 pass plays and 3 run plays. Two incompletions stopped the clock. Your three run plays go for 11, 7, and -1, and you don't trust the run on 3rd and 4, leading to an incompletion and FG miss. It may not have worked for tOSU. That's why you play the game.

Thanks for sharing. I've been on multiple Ohio State boards and YouTube pages and haven't seen one fan of theirs say they were better up front than last year. Some thought they would just have a minor step back at best.

The nation is asking “why didn’t Ryan Day just let Texas score?” As a Texas fan, I’d reply with “why would he?” Sark’s teams have historically been unable to punch it in at the goal line in crucial moments. Look at 2023 OU and multiple times against Ohio State. Day wanted to send the message “we’ve always shown we are more physical than you and we’re gonna show it again here.” Sark and Co. had other plans… A lot of mental errors + fumblitis that need to be cleaned up, but this program took a step it hasn’t been able to do the last couple years: Out physical the top dogs. Hook em🤘

I dig deeper than makes sense on this stuff. They had a number of front 7 guys play more snaps than they ever have, in 100 degree heat no less. Pierce almost doubled his previous high. Jackson ran 68 plays. They do not seem to substitute as much as we do defensively. They are relying more on transfers than in the past. They lost a lot from defense last year, but it’s really a two year run of losing lots of guys, many except Downs, were homegrown too.

Yeah Arch hit that perfectly and Coleman might have stumbled. When those hit this year (Cam & Wingo), this team is gonna ROLL.
