Seems like when they go against a team with close to the same talent they lose, Don't think they are a bad team just wouldn't put them ahead of Georgia or Texas -

Desoto is 5A this coming year but was and has been 6A Division II for the last several years. And for me their skillsets are similar but when one has done it at the highest level TXHSFB has to offer vs another who was doing it against one stoplight town schools they get a few extra points from me and I worry about their transition to P4/SEC football a lot less. I still remember Traylon Shead putting up stupid numbers in 1A, Tyrone Swoopes as a sophomore making people think he was the next VY/Cam Newton, and Jermie Calhoun of Van looking like the next Adrian Peterson. Needless to say, their small school success didn't translate. -
Few defensive players in Texas history were as dominant as Kiki DeAyala. He still owns the school record with 40.5 career sacks and set the single-season mark with 22.5 in 1982, earning Southwest Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors before being inducted into the Texas Athletics Hall of Honor. Aaron Ross followed with one of the greatest seasons ever by a Longhorn defensive back. The 2006 Jim Thorpe Award winner was a consensus All-American, Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and a key member of Texas' 2005 national championship team. His lockdown coverage helped anchor one of the best defenses in school history before becoming a first-round NFL Draft pick. Current Longhorns carrying No. 31 into the 2026 season are James Simon and Yaheim Riley.

VY's winning percentage as a starting QB in the NFL: .613 Jeff Fisher's winning percentage as an NFL head coach: .512 VY succeeded while playing for a guy who was waiting impatiently for him to fail. VY isn't without blame, for sure, but it would be nice if Fisher admitted just a little bit of fault.
