  1. Past hour
  2. Texas Tech and Cody Campbell’s money.
  3. UCLA was the best team in the final 4
  4. I was on campus at the same time - he wasn't "Mongo" until later with the Bears, his college nickname was "Bam Bam" after the club wielding wild child in the Flintstone's show. The possibilities of tie-ins with Hanna Barbera were probably endless. Seriously he was an All America by his senior year so would have likely gotten top rate for a DL
  5. Here is the fun part of the year where Texas jumps up the leaderboard quick. Texas has 21 sports total and has competed in 15/33 scored sports so far. That means, of the 6 remaining sports, Texas competes in all 6. And we tend to score nicely in all 6 too (M Golf, Softball, Baseball, Rowing and outdoor T&F x2). T&F is down this year, especially the women, but that shouldn't keep us from winning the Directors' Cup.
  6. I don't think many kids are Kelvin Banks level. That dude came in late, took the starting job and was one of the best T's in college ball for 3 years straight.
  7. I stand corrected after learning that Camara advised the schools ahead of his decision being released to the public.
  8. If only Jordan Lee and Maddie Booker could shoot that game. We were better than UCLA.
  9. Today
  10. https://www.si.com/college-football/sec-leaders-blast-cfp-metrics-explanation-as-debate-over-strength-of-schedule-intensifies Sounds like things under the hood in the selection process are even worse than what has been explained on the selection shows
  11. Much like Logan Eggleston was one of Coach Elliott's favorite recruits, I believe Rori Harmon is one of Coach Vic's favorite recruits (she was his first offer at Texas) and he really wanted to win a championship for her and had the team that was able to do it. He probably views it as letting it get away and that he failed to deliver.
  12. I’m so much more screw ND and everyone back out of playing them so they have no one left (join a conference already) than I am let’s not play them bc they’re formidable
  13. The transfer from Tech is like the 5th string pitcher, Texas does have former #1 recruit transfer from OU available next year (she had to sit out this year) as well as the stud pitcher recruit as well. My guess is Salmon and Gonzales (Tech transfer) both transfer out.
  14. You’re probably right but I’m just being greedy/petty lol.
  15. The NBC deal will continue because both make a lot of money. ND shouldn’t get any money from ABC/ESPN, Fox, CBS until it joins a P4 conference.
  16. Absolutely 💯 correct. ND needs to be locked out until they play by the same rules as everyone else. Join a conference and get rid of the NBC nonsense.
  17. Are the members of the CFP committee ever a topic of discussion? I mean why not put a committee of former coaches spearheaded by Nick Saban to determine the criteria to make the playoffs?
  18. Get rid of the Notre Dame game! Non-conference doesn't matter according to the committee. Who knows by then we may have a super conference of 40-54 teams and get rid of all the lower level schools. I've had season tickets for years and love the high profile games but winning a game by 30-40 points against a lesser opponent doesn't suck either and keeps ticket scalpers from raising aftermarket ticket prices. 🤘
  19. Checked in on this — Hearing Texas is expected be around in this one. Swan’s sister was just accepted to pre-law at Texas and obviously is from Georgetown. Her boyfriend lives up in the DFW area, so returning to the area is definitely top of mind. There was some reluctance to how hard Texas would push given elite C prospect, Stevie South, arriving to campus in the fall. During her junior in 2025, South hit .535 batting average with a .639 on-base percentage and 122 total hits. I do think Texas will at least be interested in this recruitment, but I was told the team early on to monitor in this one will be Baylor.
  20. If it’s me, I’m dropping the ND series. Unfortunately with how this whole CFB world is playing out big time OOC mean nothing anymore. There is no need to give ND a chance to pump their ending resume up with a potential win over us, while they then go on a play a cupcake schedule all year and we play a SEC gauntlet. Bail on the series and force them to join the Big 10 permanently. I’ve said for a long time I don’t understand why teams even give them the time a day when it comes to playing them. They’re the biggest frauds/jokes in college football.
  21. I’m all for holding Notre Dame accountable - they’ve gamed the system for decades. But canceling great home games at DKR shouldn’t be Texas’ leverage tool. Fans shouldn’t lose Michigan/Notre Dame just to make a point. Fix the CFP criteria so Texas can schedule like Texas, and ND can deal with the consequences of staying independent on their own time I keep arguing, but i still want to watch good football games going forward 😉
