    He actively dragged the team down. We were a much much better team without him. He is the reason we lost in the first round. If we simply had just cut him without even getting anything in return, we would’ve been a better team. Every player on the roster was better when playing without Jalen vs with Jalen

    Pretty big miss on this one. If we dont land tinney we are in trouble. We need an upgrade at SS both offensively and defensively to try to get to Omaha.

    Texas baseball not having a program shortstop feels off in general, plenty of good in state prospects- we use to own middle of the field recruiting and pitchers.

    It’s less about Becker’s not coming to Texas, that concerns me. The Longhorns need a glove upgrade at shortstop after Flores’ struggles last season.

    Or anywhere else, for that matter. Becker, a prized shortstop target in the transfer portal, is returning to Virginia for what’s expected to be his final collegiate season, sources confirmed to OTF on Sunday. Texas remains on the hunt for a shortstop for the 2026 season.
