  1. Past hour
  2. Marcel reed rolled his ankle so the defense limped around too?
  3. This crew was the exact opposite as last week. They called all the ticky tack stuff. They wanted their camera time tonight
  4. Fortunately Reed played
  5. It was ugly but it was a W. Clean up the multiple issues from last night and get ready for Tennessee.
  6. Today
  7. As said above, this wasn’t just a hangover ---- it was a breakdown in fundamentals across the board. The WRs weren’t winning leverage early, Arch’s eyes were late on middle‑field reads, and Sark’s sequencing never found rhythm. The penalties killed every attempt at momentum. This wasn’t a talent issue; it was an execution and discipline failure. The road game will tell us whether tonight was an outlier or a symptom.
  8. Come on… Rosie O’Donnell swimsuit calendar is a national emergency. Texas offense was like watching a goat attempt a screen pass with oven mitts on
  9. The crowd sticking around mattered, but that comeback also felt different because the players never looked like they were waiting for OSU to hand it back. Clean up a few of those stalled stretches and this team can be a nightmare late in games.
  10. Arch was terrible, barely any improvement from last year
  11. hard to believe arch hasn't really improved in 4 years...
  12. There are no other way to sugarcoat this. W is a W, but Oline & QB were pitiful, playcalling didn’t help either, WRs didn’t get separation. They’re better awake this coming week and get focus. Luckily , the defense was playing good.
  13. The play calling made absolutely so sense unless you look at it like a scrimmage. Sark could have run the ball and RPO’d them to death all day. Instead, he had things he wanted to work on with long developing plays. He knew with his D he was going to win regardless. The problem is when you are playing against a very well coached (even if completely outmanned) team, they are not going to play along. Once he got the offense and Arch completely frustrated, he just ran the ball which he could have done at will all game. Sark does this stuff vs lesser opponents, and Arch looks like hell as a result. I expect a bounce back next week, especially now that the rat poison is gone after that offensive stink bomb. Maybe Sark is a chess master (for eliminating the rat poison before SEC play), maybe he is over confident. Maybe both.
  14. He missed some early throws but was 9/12 for 102. I think his performance went down after the big no Targeting call hit he took that knocked off helmet
  15. It was a win . Defense played pretty well all things considered. We ran for 238 which is good, even with lapses. Passing game well .... No need to curse lol. Arch has so much to work on , and so frustrating. Then there is OSU 4th quarter Arch that shows signs he gets it. And what we all hoped he could be consistently. But it is year four so no more excuses period for me. No butter tonight, not even sure if we got margarine. But next week will be another defining moment so will check back then.
  16. Tech being the early spot for him makes the whole thing a lot less mysterious. Recruitment boards love turning every non-UT commit into a statement.
  17. Robertson was consistently getting beat in pass pro. After about six or seven times, Arch decided he wasn't going to wait. Arch missed throws. You could see the lack of focus coming all week with the media storm about Sark, Arch and Holly Rowe, Ohio State hangover, Nansen issue... If we can't figure out the A gap blitz issue, we'll have the same problem every game moving forward. Might be a big deal and it might be a bump.
  18. Thank goodness for the defense tonight, Arch was crap the entire night. I think his eyes need to be checked. It was really bad, easily the worst performance of his career at Texas. If he can't take 2 more steps forward, we are losing 2-3 games.
  19. Considering the talk about firing PK because he was "babysitting" the D too much and not able to focus on the O as much. Definitely need to see better from the O. Not sure it's all on Sark either. He's drawing the plays up but he has to get his players to execute better.
  20. That is a concern, too. Not just on Sark either, also on Milwee.
  21. I expected a hangover but that felt like stumbling home at 6am after pub crawling all night long. My goodness. Inexcusable play by this O. Thankfully UTSA isn't very good and what's even worse is their D isn't good either. All our touted WR's and they were struggling to get open. If Sark's main focus in on the O, should we not expect a better product? WHy is Arch Manning 4 years into his tenure at Texas (2nd year starting) and he at times looks completely lost in the O? I'm also not a fan of him taking so many shots, gotta learn to get down or out of bounds. I love what the guys did last week and like I said I expected a hangover but this level of play is just no acceptable. Hoping for a better performance next week. It being the first road game does not bode well for us. Hoping to see the guys firing on all cylinders next week. Another thing was the penalties. Boy were they bad tonight. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy.
  22. 1 good quarter in the last 8. Oline awful and as always, we just keep the same people in. Sark was pissed all game as he knew how flat the offense played. He needs to consider pulling Arch for a series during games when he’s consistently floundering to help him see the field. Different sport but Pop was a master of the quick time out or quick pull. Otherwise, Arch seems to overwhelm himself trying to get out of the rut. UTSA is used to the heat…
  23. What is concerning is Sark is on his second 5 ⭐️ qb at Texas and both seem to never take the next step in development.
  24. Probably something you’d want your QB to keep to himself 🤣
  25. Watching Lacey come in and drill a simple layup pass was a nice change of pace
  26. Vanilla hangover or not, Manning needs to be much better. His effort today was the worst of his career at Texas, starting with his 1st pass he was never locked in.
