  1. Past hour
  2. Exhibition. First one for Texas. Believe it was UConn's second.
  3. Seems it may not be play calling. But going for it on 4th and 2 with a Running game that can not pick up short yardage against a high school team with a 2 TD lead is my gripe on Sark. Still love the Horns and hope like hell a miracle happens but does not look good without good many changes. Hell we have to go against Ole Miss offense without Simmons. One of the best players in college football is out and almost not chatter about it because of how bad we are on Offense. Sucks.
  4. I think my vote would be Arch starts, KJ gets thrown into an impossible situation, Arch finishes?
  5. Can any QB be truly successful in a play action shot offense that can’t run the ball?
  6. I’d tend to agree, but I’ve seen the guy be a decisive gunslinger (2024 starts).
  7. At least he's classified as a senior. Can you imagine if he was counted as a true freshman with 4 more years of eligibility left?
  8. Some of what he does bad seems unfixable. I doubt we see him ball out anywhere. I am leaning he may just be a bust.
  9. Missing the playoffs two years in a row should garner the same heat....I mean if you cannot even field a top 12 team what are we doing?
  10. Is there something going on in your life I could pray for?
  11. The heat got to Ohio State late in the second half is the best explanation I have.
  12. Both. I’m pretty clear about my stance on Ryan Day and his coaching prowesss. Additionally, I don’t think Texas has a dynamic run game just waiting to be unleashed. They’re 119th in yards per attempt currently, it’s pretty bad.
  13. For me, it’s far beyond missed reps in the spring. He’s seeing ghosts and things are snowballing. I do think there’s something to him being shell shocked, for lack of a better term.
  14. It’s going to unreal watching him ball at Miami next year.
  15. Such bullsh*t. 7 years in pro leagues in Europe and gets some judge to grant him eligibility here for a year
  16. Do you chalk it up to Ryan Day or the fact that was a game Sark didn't give up on the run game?
  17. It’s an offseason fix, IMO. I’d love to be wrong about that, but it’s getting worse.
  18. It’s hard to assign percentages, but I’ll say that the Florida game wasn’t a good day up front. Things are so disjointed in pass protection that I can’t tell what guys are supposed to be doing. If Arch isn’t solely responsible for changing protections, then it’s on the line to communicate and make sure things are accounted for, which doesn’t appear to be happening. On blitz situations specifically, one thing I’ve noticed that since Arch never checks out of a play once he’s set behind the center, you’ll notice guys start moving the minute Arch’s hands go up and he’s sending a guy in motion or calling for snap. That’s why rushers are coming free sometimes, IMO, because they don’t have to show early knowing whatever play is on won’t be killed/checked out of.
  19. The win over Ohio State just masked the issues that continue to plague the team now. I can only chalk up that 4th quarter to the fault of Ryan Day because it certainly hasn’t been the norm or anything close to the standard Texas has played to since.
  20. @Gerry Hamilton that’s you big dog
  21. Well I don’t like that feeling lol
  22. My biggest question is how did every ounce of confidence this team had after beating Ohio State just simply leave them after that Holly Rowe incident? Also is there a way where Texas runs the table, gets into the SEC championship game but loses. Could they still make the playoffs as a three loss team? I know it’s a stretch for that to happen but this season has been crazy so far.
  23. A key, yes. The key, no. Mechanics can often be fixed. Football IQ, field vision, etc, is a much heavier lift. I measure QBs by wins, not mechanics. And if you think Arch’s problems are physical, you’re wrong.
  24. Obviously football is the most popular and highest revenue generating sport at UT, but why do I have this strange feeling that’s it will be a down season for UT athletics as a whole?
  25. I do think it’s quite interesting there is a mod who is outspoken about QB play (rightfully so) but hasn’t said a word about the piss poor offensive line play.
