  1. Past hour
  2. With Wisner not coming back, let me look into my Crystal Baugh!
  3. Tre's not worth a M bro lets be real he got bad advice & would make way more in life if he stayed & finished his career a Longhorn, just off of the relationships & Legend he made himself killing ou & lil brother.. He want after the quick dollar & wasn't thinking long term
  4. I don’t think these kinds of things catch the coaching staff off guard. I am confident that if Texas wants to keep someone they will keep them. Having said that……they have a number they value a player at a certain dollar number and if the player/agent have a much higher number Texas lets them walk. It’s like professional sports now.
  5. Asked for big money and we said no, so taking his ball and going home. I'm skeptical somebody else will pay what he wants. He had as much value to us as any other team. Guy just doesn't have the ability to break tackles or run away from defenders. Great vision but not a #1 RB.
  6. We sure have a lot of starters to add. Gonna be a crazy few weeks after NYE. Also worth noting that Goosby hasn't declared his intent to stay.
  7. I believe it is an indicator that loyalty is a non-factor. And we’re just getting started so loyalty will mean even less over time. For my fandom, that is not a positive. One reason I care nothing about college basketball anymore is because of the roster turnover. Maybe there aren’t many that care anything about loyalty, I don’t know. Heres the thing, there will be days when those guys you mentioned would be more effective football players than their replacements.
  8. There is nothing morally wrong with players making purely business decisions but that says that their relationship with UT is purely transactional. It's fair for us fans to be prefer those who go deeper than that. We'll see if guys like Wisner and Moore even have the NIL market they are looking for. Seems doubtful to me. Those guys aren't superstars.
  9. Unfortunately I think he will be remembered for portaling.
  10. I don't know about y'all but I just watched some Adam Mohammed tape and I'm a big fan. Add Hollywood Smothers and could be lethal combo.
  11. For me, he’s in the Fozzy Whittaker category of folk heroes in the history of the program. Nobody will remember Wisner as one of the best running backs Texas has ever produced, but they’ll remember the big moments he had in the biggest games on the schedule.
  12. The bad actors in the agent world and the grifters getting a legitimate seat at the table is one thing that needs to change:
  13. My take on this won’t be popular with some folks (and that’s OK), but I simply don’t believe in this line of thinking. If Lefau, Moore and Wisner had their druthers, they’d all be back at Texas for one more seasons. But them deciding what’s best for their future and the staff deciding what’s best for the construction of the 2026 roster shouldn’t bring about questions of either side’s loyalty. I wish it were different, but it’s where we are in college football.
  14. Tre was at his best when he was dismantling our rivals in Aggies and OU - for that, he will be immortal in Texas football lore and I thank him for that. Best of luck Tre.
  15. This tells me that emotional decisions are not being made. Business decisions are being made.
  16. It's just a matter of NIL. Texas saw Wisner as a good #2 but not good enough to be the lead back. Wisner wanted #1 RB money. We will see if he gets it in the portal (doubtful IMO). Last year a bunch of returning players successfully extorted us for more $ and that's how we had a mediocre $40M+ roster. This year it appears we learned our lesson.
  17. Increasing odds for Florida RB? I just can’t imagine Wisner entering unless he knew facts we don’t know yet.
  18. Sucks to lose him but happy Texas isn't caving to these oversized demands this year. That was a big issue on 2025. You can't overpay for DeAndre Moore types when other programs go and get stars out of the portal for the same price.
  19. This is kind of the way I feel. Guys like Adoni Mitchell, Andrew Mukuba and Matthew Caldwell will all seem more like Longhorns than Wisner or Lefau which feels weird.
  20. Wow… I’m in disbelief. Love that guy. I’m not sure how much the kid was asking for, but based on his ability to slay Oklahoma and Texas A&M alone, I would’ve brought him back. Unless he was demanding to be RB 1 or RB 1 $$$? He clearly showed this year that his body cannot take the physicality and beating of being RB 1 though ☹️
  21. Not all agents. It's just business. There are some good ones out there too.
