Disagree, we’re seeing bad football because these guys play such varying levels of competition early in the season.

The current NIL rules level the playing field and create parity. Texas has the advantage of being the premier program in the state and residing in Austin which has a growing and relatively affluent economy. That opens lots of doors for private NIL deals for those athletes willing and able to pursue those opportunities. That has to be Texas' pitch to differentiate themselves from other programs.
