  1. Past hour
  2. Doing so now. He's staining the gene pool.
  3. So many overly emotional bad takes in this thread 😂🤣
  4. Arch has some of the highest times-to-throw in the country. I'd be interested to know how many times he has self-sacked this year, because it feels like it has been at least 6 or 7 times.
  5. Yeah, I disagree with this. There have been plenty of great QB's (some with Gold Jackets) that didn't play a high level of HS competition. In the Arch argument in that ... Peyton and Eli played at Isidore Newman as well. They played small classification at the same school. So the dog doesn't hunt, and especially with Arch.
  6. it is better but still not great. Arch seems to get rattled from any form of pressure. Needs to take sack lessons from Brady and Joe Burrow
  7. The answer was playing 6A football in Texas. He didn't have the competition he needed in High School. He's paying for it now.
  8. The protection Arch is getting is miles better than last year, and for some reason, that has made his pocket presence worse. Doesn't add up.
  9. @RN_surgery I’m sure you were calling for the benching of VY and Colt as well as Mack and Greg Davis’ jobs. Evidence helps us inform decisions on and off the football field.
  10. Was gonna say Brooks just has more an issue with our offensive line being slow and soft rather than the playcalls. I feel the same as most of us do.

  12. I love Brooks, tells it how it is. Arch is too good to bench but lacks consistency to win when we need him to be consistent. His pocket presence has me questioning if they even coach it or if he gets under the lights and forgets it all. biggest thing that kills me in the offensive line play. You just can’t fall down and be late on stunts. If you get beat, fine, but don’t get whooped with bad technique. 3rd and 1 and our lineman take backwards steps and get whooped. just bad
  13. Just my observation, but you can tell for whatever reason Arch cannot pull the trigger. He's scared of making a mistake, and then it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. It's all mental right now, and he's going through some chaos in his brain. I don't know what the answer is other than playing through it, which means it might get worse before it gets better. Hopefully, the worst was this past week.
  14. Men’s Basketball picked second in SEC media preseason poll Vokietaitis named to Preseason All-SEC Second Team and Punch tabbed All-SEC Third Team by league media members. BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The University of Texas Men’s Basketball team was picked to finish second in the Southeastern Conference by a panel of both SEC and national media members, the league office announced Monday. Junior center Matas Vokietaitis was tabbed to the five-person Preseason All-SEC Second Team, and junior forward David Punch was named to the five-person Preseason All-SEC Third Team. Florida is the preseason SEC favorite in the media poll and is followed by Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee and Alabama in the top five. Thomas Haugh of Florida was tabbed the Preseason SEC Player of the Year. Vokietaitis returns for his second season at Texas and his third year in college basketball. A 2026 NABC All-Gulf District Second Team selection, he played and started all 36 games last year and led the team in blocks (33) and ranked second in scoring (15.6 ppg) and rebounding (7.1 rpg). Vokietaitis reached double figures in scoring in 31 of the 36 games, including eight 20-point performances, while hitting double digits in rebounds six times and posting six double-doubles. In his four NCAA Tournament contests last season, he averaged 16.0 points and a team-best 8.8 rebounds per game. Punch elected to transfer from TCU following the 2025-26 season. He has played in 66 career games (61 starts) and registered two-year career totals of 687 points, 370 rebounds and 94 blocks in 1,661 minutes. Punch earned honorable mention All-Big 12 Conference and NABC All-Gulf District First Team honors last year. He played in 34 of a possible 35 games (34 starts) and led the team in scoring (14.1 ppg), rebounding (6.8 rpg) and blocks (66), ranked second in steals (45) and third in assists (68) and minutes (29.7 mpg) while helping the Horned Frogs post a 23-12 mark (11-7 Big 12) and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Round of 32. 15. I have not watched the video yet as I'm posting while at work so I'll concede that point; Arch isn't without issue. This is based on the Gemini summary which the poster mentions.
  16. If you actually watched the video, you would see Brooks walk through multiple examples of Arch turning down check downs and hot routes for no reason. On the final interception, he had Winston sitting down on a 5 yard hitch. You would also see Brooks walk through examples of Arch poorly navigating a clean pocket and creating self imposed pressure. Brooks didn’t seem to have many issues with the playcalling.
  17. Do you expect him go do this mid- season? This is year 6...Flood should have already been gone. Our OLine has been questionable since Kelvin Banks left.
  18. #2 is the biggest annoyance for me; in college, elite coaches adjust their schemes to the players that they have. Sark wants to force round blocks into square holes. Secondly, Sark keeps explosive play hunting excessively, well that only works when your oline gives the QB enough protection to wait for those explosive plays to develop. Hot routes are necessary, especially when the defense shows it's willing to completely sell out and blitz.
  19. Arch was the Red River MVP, for Oklahoma. Maybe he felt bad for his former roommate Parker and wanted to give his team some points.
  20. Is the hiring priority teaching/installing, or game day playcalling and adjustments? The first would be more of a teacher, the latter could be a NFL guy. But the crux on the first is finding a guy thats great at teaching college athletes who can Grok Sark's NFL playbook and system, while an NFL guy might only know how to work with pros - possibly very transactionally too.
  21. Man, so true. Also, why is the center still starting? He has regressed mightily.
  22. The bad thing about this film it shows hot reads for Arch to hit, he's just not getting it done. Man, Arch is not good. Dang.
