1-4 vs OU as well.

So Herman only had what every other program had. Just like Sark today. Gotcha.
-
Herman couldn’t beat TCU, Oklahoma State or Iowa State. What type of playing field were we on compared to them?
-
Come on man. Georgia signed 18 five stars between the three 2018-2020 classes. You don’t think they had a major payroll for that team? He learned the whole scheme from Saban. Urban Mafia at Ohio State, LSU church slush funds, we have never been on an even playing field with the most rogue programs except for maybe 2002-2004 when Mack and the program got especially desperate while getting pants’d in Dallas annually. And look what happened the next few years.

Nice write up as always. Thanks! Ryan Niblett is now the 2nd leading punt returner in college football with 21.6 yards/return. One tiny nit to pick - you wrote "5 Arch was sacked 5 times" in "Stats that Matter" summary but "officially, he was sacked 3 times" in the main body of the text. . The ESPN box score credits Kentucky with 3 sacks and the Texas D with 5 sacks, so guessing you mentally flipped those numbers, no biggie. -
Huh? No other team had access to NIL or the transfer portal during his time either. He had the same built in recruiting advantages every Texas coach has had the last 30 years. What type of context do you need to know that Tom Herman never lost fewer than 3 games in a season, was hated by his player, went 1-4 vs Oklahoma, embarrassed the university publicly multiple times and left us with 7 scholarship offensive lineman. He never sniffed the playoff. There is no further context needed. He was a boneheaded coach who produced inconsistent results and is currently unemployed after being fired in less than 2 years from his job after Texas.

Any players on FSU's roster that Texas would want? I know Texas recruited Kevin Wynn in the past.

Oh I’m not aiming my upset at the kids/young men. -
I am with you brother. As I said in another post - college football is now a big $$ industry, and changes happen a lot faster. Sux for the kids.
-
For sure staff changes, either addition (like defense) or replacement. College football is a big $$ industry now, and changes happen a lot quicker than when I had hair.
-
I think it’s horribly ill-advised. The program is going to implode in the transfer portal and there just isn’t a tried and true candidate out there to step in and immediately take over the reigns. There is no Kalen Debouer in this coaching cycle. And the coaches you would want aren’t leaving where they are at. Florida’s team is going to be gutted in the transfer portal. They should have stuck with the devil they know. I hate this for the kids that want to play on a team.

Ugly and disappointing win, however we are still in the race to get into CFP. Sark took a huge GAMBLE by going with young OL. He is betting on their quick development. The scheme is totally off to the current offense maturity. If his gamble fails we will be out of the CFP. Good Luck

Good guys.

Herman was hated by players end of discussion!
-
Not worthy of the extension IOM, hasn’t leaded a team to a deep run into the playoffs
-
Probably not much can be done now. The off season should be interesting. I see a huge influx of portal players on offense and some on the team leaving. A complete overhaul. Lets see what staff gets the boot.

Seems to be the go-to in today's college football; see Penn State. ADs want to get all their ducks in a row before next season.

My buddy is a huge gator fan and is excitingly texting me now. He didn’t think they would actually pull the trigger.

I agree with everything you just wrote, and also think that at certain times you need a fresh set of eyes out there for a series or two at the least. Or go two-QB system to make it harder to prepare for Arch which is getting very easy for coordinators right now. Arch has been on campus for three seasons now. The play is inexcusable and the lack of fire and leadership on th sidelines and the field as the starting QB is even worse.

Billy Napier out as Florida HC. No surprise here. Buyout = $19.38 mil, $9.69 mil to be paid within 30 days, per CBS Sports.
