  1. Past hour
  2. The excitement continues to build - any other scrimmages before St John’s next week?
  3. Much more concerned about who plays QB next week than when Simmons plays.
  4. This is going to sound weird but I don't think he's on the hot seat. They were 4-2 last year before going 5-1 the rest of the way. Now I'm not saying that will happen again but I think he's got a bit of rope left the question is will he hang himself with it or pull himself back up? We just saw Bama get their tails whooped against Tenn, Georgia lost the game against unranked Auburn with a Stockon fumble (he also had 2 int's) and Mateer has almost 200 yards passing against Kentucky already. Now are there issues for Texas, yes. Especially on the offensive side. Because let's be honest every QB Florida has played has lit them up and Arch had 77 yards going into the 4th quarter. If not for a big pass to Mosley he would barely have 100 yards for an entire game. Sark will evaluate nothing, it's just to get people off his back. It shouldn't take back to back losses to realize that your offense is hot garbage. That things needed be changed. You brought in two RB's that don't fit what you want out of the running game, you have an OL that is geared towards pass protection and not the run game. Yet you don't lean into the pass game more. When it was working early in the game you went away from it to run the ball. Arch literally had the hot hand. I'm just baffled by his decisions at times. He won't hire an OC so you guys can forget that and no one is getting fired on that side of the ball. Unless the wheels really fall off. Personally, I'm just going to see how things play out and go from there. But if he can't fix the offense and find a way to get this talent to work, then I don't know after that. I also thought defensively the team was not as good as I thought. Still no turnovers and they gave up a lot of 3rd down conversions. Some of it was bad field position by the O or just being on the field too much but they are legit concerns. At least special teams wasn't a negative this week?
  5. Exactly. What we should do too. He’s a nice kid but he’s a lousy football player unfortunately.
  6. In the first scrimmage against Arizona State last weekend, Matas led Texas in scoring.
  7. Closed door scrimmage .. I cant pass that along. Punch led Texas is scoring today. 5-13 or 6-14 from three as a team.
  8. No doubt, im just talking style wise it would need to change to short/intermediate routes much more than the downfield bomb stuff we run right now.
  9. I guess, but at some point you’ll have to beat a few of the top 8 teams. I like the playoffs and don’t really care if you let 50 in. Still have to beat good teams to win
  10. Might as well change the name to On Texas Basketball. Football is over, christmas has been ruined.
  11. This season forward there will be no real national champion, just as there wasn't during the poll era. You have the pansies who will insist on letting all the "little guys" in the playoff this year, and with playoff expansion next year it will be a pure crapshoot of mediocrity. Time to move on.
  12. Ready for KJ. It’s time after today.
  13. Brother I cannot agree more. It is time to.crap or get off the pot. Arch deserves to be benched after these last 2 game endings. PERIOD. HE EARNED THAT
  14. KJ was rated higher coming out of high school, so I think it’s worth a look.
  15. Got any point totals for players?
  16. Then seat Sarks on gets even hotter. Arch losing two games in a row and having zero confidence is not something Texas should reward.
  17. Needed this. Thank you Gerry.
  18. CDC doesn't hire and fire football coaches. That’s above his paygrade
  19. KJ might go in and look like Tramel Jones did today and be productive. Give the kid a shot.
  20. I really don’t think Arch can hit those, he needs throws he can rip. Way too much touch and pacing required. Quinn specialty by the way
  21. I would have liked to see Lacey today. Arch’s football brain is cramping.
  22. It would be nice if we decided to incorporate the middle of the field in the passing game. Just saying. I do not recall any 5-10 yard crossers at all in the last 3 games. Maybe they were there, but I don’t see them. Seems like we exclusively run routes outside the hashes to the boundary.
  23. We were putting up 35-39 points per game with Quinn. We haven’t score over 24 against teams with a pulse this year.
  24. I was just fixing to say the same. How do you know? Wouldn’t that be in the first 5 moves of trouble shooting the offense? Let’s assume before today we were at least 2-3 moves in 😂
