  1. Past hour
  2. It's become a business and roster management is very key, another aspect is, if you give a bunch of money to a recruit, the current players look at it and say, I think I'm worth more than that - so come portal time, they could demand more money or hit the portal. It's a very delicate process, which I'm glad I'm not responsible for.
  3. Happy 4th y’all https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1426848871979759&surface_type=vod&referral_source=vod_deeplink_unit
  4. The greatest American tradition of them all begins in about an hour!
  5. When does Joey ‘Jaws’ Chestnut eat 72 hot dogs? @Jeff Howe
  6. We’ve mentioned it before, but Texas took Richard Wesley’s commitment to fill the need for a bigger-bodied versatile EDGE in the class.
  7. A&M, Texas isn’t pushing for this one right now either.
  8. Is it safe to assume this is a good sign? Who was the leader coming into today?
  9. Still see a top 5 level class. Texas will likely be ranked anywhere from 6-9 when the ball is kicked to begin the 2025 season, and Texas' class will have a lot of runway
  10. 1 for 3 today? Gerry, 2-weeks ago you said if Texas starts losing guys it was leading for you’d be concerned. Then we lose one to Fla, now Ojo looking like Tech. I understand Sark is a closer, but the dynamics have changed - what level of concern do you have? I don’t see a top 5 class unless Texas works in the gray area. Georgia, a&m, USC, Alabama may all finish ahead of Texas.
  11. December won’t be the same. Look what happened to the California TE (Bowmen?), he committed to USC and Texas stopped recruiting him all together. Have you heard any updates on him? No, because he was paid for 2-3 years. Texas isn’t just going to come on money to make him change his mind. the only caveat I would add is if someone fights the House Settlement and it’s determined illegal - that would allow Texas to go above the salary cap and things could change. If things stay the same, Texas doesn’t finish in the top 5.
  12. Different position but man he moves like John Hannah.
  13. Today
  14. Never forget the great Cort Jaquess Alamo Bowl
  15. Texas didn't push late for Calicut, Someone asked which prospects Texas didn't push for late ... I would say NIL match late. Calicut Simeon Texas isn't pushing for Bryce Perry-Wright ... OTF has reported that numerous times. The commitment of Richard Wesley meant Texas wasn't going to push on BP-W. Xavier Griffin wasn't coming to Texas when Tyler Atkinson was brought in for an OV ... so not sure how one calculates that. But OTF reported multiple times that was going to be the case. Texas absolutely wanted Ezavier Crowell, Malakai Lee, Kendall Guervil and Trenton Henderson. Texas will hang around those through senior year.
  16. Rare day I get to watch from home. Count me in
  17. You seriously think teams are going to work these deals without assurances baked in especially since it’s coming from athletic revenue
  18. Bryce Perry-Wright was scheduled to make the call today. He’s now announcing on Saturday.
  19. There will always be someone that feels that way, and I can tell you I don't give a rip. Coaches leave jobs for another, and many times it breaks on social media before the players are told. And it happens that way because the coach doesn't want the news to leak out early.
