  1. Past hour
  2. Somebody call chip kelly and ask if he’s bored and ready to come to work
  3. Also, and I could be way off base with this but it’s just a thought, is it time to evaluate AJ Milwee? I mean he’s a better QB coach with me, but arch’s mechanics looked completely different from last year. I don’t remember ever watching him throw it sidearm and that’s one thing Quinn was notorious for. Also arch was putting way too much mustard on short routes especially on the 3rd down throw to wingo that could’ve went for a pretty big gain
  4. What @Gerry Hamilton said this morning on rapid reactions is true. The next 3 weeks will mean nothing. Texas is gonna look like the best team in the country when they beat 3 scrubs by 30 and arch looks like the second coming, they’ll probably even score every red zone possession they get over the next 3 games. But none of it means anything. October 4 is the most important game on the calendar right now. If Texas can go to the swamp in what will almost certainly be a night game and execute offensively at a higher level than what they did in Columbus, the ship can be righted and perception can change. But if a visit to the swamp is similar to the visit in Ohio, everything about sark is gonna be questioned IMO. Deandre Moore looked pretty pissed off after the game. Hopefully he turns into a leader and steps up. The one bright spot I had about the offense was how good the o line looked except on the last drive. Looked like they whiffed on a free rusher and led to the short pass to endries.
  5. I think it’s time we retire the “offensive guru,” title that Sark has been given, until further notice.
  6. Sark has to stop trying to control the game & just let Arch play.. The training wheels should be off & the playbook wide open!! 2nd note: Redzone put Neto at fullback & problem is solved, that's if he's still bought in losing his job
  7. Ive seen posts people saying that Arch has a hurt shoulder. Any truth to it? I thought the aame thing eith bow he was side arming a lot of passes he didnt need to.
  8. One game doesn’t kill or make a season. Hard part is it’s a month until we know anything. Offense was so awful it’s just left me with a hangover. See everyone in Austin though.
  9. Is Collin Simmons ready to be an every down player? Seemed like they ran at him and he didn’t hold the edge. Yesterday we didn’t get them into enough 3rd and longs where they could release the hounds
  10. Collin Simmons takes himself out of the play too often and was a liability when they ran toward him.
  11. They were content sitting back because our RBs aren’t game breakers. I’d say we lost about 50 yards rushing from Baxter not picking up his feet and Wisner being too patient. Turning 25 yard holes into 6 yard gains.
  12. If Arch hits Wingo on that drag route just once then that changes the game. Even though Arch had a tough day, he did not give up. He kept punching and made some great throws toward the end. Bad throws, penalties and uninspired red zone play were killer. The defense is great. The offensive line has room to improve but overall played well. Graceson Littleton was awesome. Ced Baxter looked good. Endries played well.
  13. 1) I am a friend of my university, not just a fan. things can be up and down, doesn't matter. 2) As Darrel Royal once said, "Potential just means you ain't done it yet." That is where the 2025 team remains. 3) No one knew what what was going to happen yesterday, not even the coaches who have lived with the 2025 team. So not surprised of the outcome. 4) I am surprised about some of the missed throws from QB1. Uncharacteristic if compared to a limited data set from 2024. Almost like 2024 QB1 throws. 5) Now the coaches know the following: Defense overall was good to great at times. Both RBs were fantastic. Work on everything else. 6) HookEm FOREVER.
  14. A bright note from Arch was the deep ball, as expected. On passes 20+ yards down the field per PFF: 3-6 passing 90 yards 1 TD 1 INT average distance of target was 30.3 yards
  15. Arch will improve as he gains more experience. That is a given. To what level … we shall see. Sark has been coaching for 25 years. Does he need 30? Or 40 years of experience to get more creative in the red zone? Anyone that watches college football sees creativity an the RZ from coast to coast
  16. Interesting observation. Yesterday was a maximal test for a young guy who is a new starter. He misfired on some throws he normally easily makes. Was not a total disaster, but clearly he underachieved. I think it all comes down to getting more reps and confidence either way. He should accomplish that the next few weeks and then we will see where he really is in the Swamp.
  17. Put your hat in the ring. Sark, Gerry, CJ and Bobby are all on notice that you’re coming for their job 😂
  18. Good points. Ohio State wasn’t buying into the play-action fake IMO. That’s why there was rarely anyone open deep. They were willing to give up 5 yards runs and keep their safeties deep.
  19. Today
  20. Week ones are good for overreactions and out of proportion takes that typically don't age well, so read into this as you wish. However, when scouring over the numbers and tape again this morning, there was a clear part of the passing game that felt worse than others – play action passes. The numbers back it up too. *** Arch on Play Action Pass Attempts 10 drop backs 5-10 passing 26 yards 2.6 yards per attempt 1 INT 2 turnover worthy plays Arch on Straight Drop Backs 24 drop backs 12-20 passing 144 yards 7.4 yards per attempts 1 TD 0 turnover worthy plays Perhaps part of the offensive struggles on play action snaps include the average distance of target. On PA snaps, Arch's average distance of target was 11.9, compared to 8.8 on straight drop backs. *** We will see over the next three weeks how this trend continues, but file this one in the growing "Didn't Expect That" folder from the season opener.
  21. What I found most concerning is that Arch's demeanor looked like he wasn't having any fun. There was no confidence or swagger to him, he just looked worried the whole time. The first throw of the game was wide open as you could get, and he turfed it so bad that it barely bounced to his receiver. I don't care how much Sark schemes it, if you can't make wide open throws we either need to trot out someone else or Arch needs to find that swagger in him that we saw last year.
  22. Well you won't have to wait 5 years, we play next year in Austin lol.
  23. Good thoughts but the problem was Sark not kicking two field goals. He placed more pressure on his inexperienced offense to chase those six points the in the fourth quarter. If he had those six points, he could have, though not necessary, after Parker’s TD gone for two. Whatever, he did after that TD, on that last drive, he only needs a FG to win the game, not a miracle TD to go to OT. OSU would have had to defend the field differently. Smart people knew this game was a one-score game differential, except Sark. On the road, defending national champs, and he was throwing sure points away. This is not the first time because OU 2023 is another example.
  24. You don’t get it. When we needed it, he didn’t get it. You don’t understand Ohio State’s defensive game plan, but I get it the nuances of football, the average fan doesn’t get. It appears Sark doesn’t either since he doesn’t understand the importance of kicking field goals.
