  1. Past hour
  2. I think coaches know their teams better than fans do. They felt they needed a TE and a WR. They got one of each. They opted for straight development at OL. We’ll see if that pays dividends down the road.
  3. So why portal Endries? Golden? Bond? AD Mitchel?
  4. He seems like one of the many people that tweet whiny BS at CDC
  5. If we can clean up the defensive penalties, the defense can carry us pretty far. Our offense doesn't have to be tremendous to beat Florida.
  6. I don't think we'll know much about the top of the Big 10 until the playoff. Ohio State, Penn ST and Oregon only have one or two tough games. That means all three are getting in unless they lose key players or simply melt down. Big 12 and ACC are guesswork. SEC will likely beat each other up. Could mean the SEC will be more battle tested in the playoff; could mean they'll be battered and bruised. Obviously there's plenty of time for a team or two to figure it out.
  7. Do you remember 1st year Quinn and how everyone swore up and down he couldn't read defenses when the reality is he was unsure of what he was seeing? In year 2 he was throwing not only with anticipation but throwing guys open. The good thing is this isn't an offense lead team and we don't need it to be. Next year when the defense is young and we lose key contributors we will need top notch Arch. Right now we can still win while Arch gets on the job training.
  8. Honestly, Arch took a little to long to make his reads. He should have hit LivingSTON much earlier on his first TD. He won't be that wide open in the SEC. Same for the first Endries throw. He is going to need to speed up his reads but be comfortable. To some degree this was almost the same Arch as the OSU game. He had to make much faster reads and that messed him up. He is going to have to be able to make those reads and throws with good mechanics by the time SEC play rolls around.
  9. Even in basketball you kind of know. Barring that pesky 16 seed knocking someone off usually you end up with top teams going in the season competing to cut down the nets. You're right it is early, but with two games you have enough data on what teams want to do and what they need to clean up to actually accomplish their goals. No one right now is as good as they seem nor or they as bad, but issues are starting to bubble. Later on we'll look back and know if those concerns were warranted or were we like fans do are just over analyzing.
  10. “Reality” is we’re a top ten ranked team coming off of back to back playoff appearances whose only loss was a hard fought game on the road against the defending national champs currently ranked number one.
  11. Too early to tell IMO I maintain that due to portal and playoff we won’t see dynastic runs anymore But also due to the portal teams change and improve so much early in the season … CFB is more like basketball now due to portal … teams build and round into form more like a basketball team due to roster churns annually
  12. Today
  13. I agree with you 💯 all these top teams are so young it’s going to make for a great season
  14. My theory on this is, besides NIL and the portal, a lot of these covid super seniors have left these programs and that leaves them with very young, inexperienced rosters. So you’ll probably have more weeks like this where the top teams outtalent lesser competition. Right now, I would say Ohio State looks like they might go back-to-back, but a lot can happen between now and January 20th in Miami Gardens.
  15. Look around the college football landscape and you won't find any team to point at and say that's the team to beat. The darling right now is Oregon, because they beat a very bad OSU team. Their flaws haven't shown as much because in both of their wins they've been able to out athlete everyone. Wait until Dante Moore gets to face a defense that wants and has the ability to take away Oregon's strengths, and I don't care who or what era Oregon is playing in, after all the crazy uniforms, the first thing that comes to mind is SAWFT!
  16. Looks like Livingstone and Endries.
  17. Anyone can lose to anyone anywhere on any given Saturday. There's no reason to be concerned. Too many people here assume that any team we play will be at their best while Texas will be at their worse. Texas can't be as immature and undisciplined as they were yesterday and beat Florida, but let's be honest here, it won't take a Herculean effort either. Florida has just as many issues if not more than Texas with Billy Napier being the most pressing.
  18. lol All in on Billy! Expectations Sam will “retire”
  19. Starting a pool on who gets fired first Sammy P or Sunbelt Billy. 5 cent buy in🤣
  20. IF Florida loses next two on road … the Texas game in Gainesville will be built up as the season saving/must win to turn the season around
  21. He’s staring 4-8 right in the face. Kentucky (despite being on the road) and Mississippi State are very winnable. They usually play Tennessee well, so I would say them, but their win streak over the Vols in the Swamp is in jeopardy. I do think they pull an upset somewhere to get to that 4th win. Either way, I think Napier is cooked in Gainesville.
  22. Texas can absolutely lose at Florida. Take any signs of Saturday’s sloppy ball on the road, and you can be beat I remain the same … see where UF’s health is at after games at LSU and Miami Florida will likely be a very wounded dog when Texas rolls into Gainesville See what fight the Gators have with their coach being on the hottest seat after Saturday
  23. Just rehashing his water bottle struggles from last season.
  24. I missed that … what’s happened
