SI's top 25 ... plus one bold prediction for each team
AusMOJO replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Why? I don't believe in all that paranoid snake bite stuff. We didn't lose last year because we were ranked #1, we lost because we played a great team at their place and our guys didn't execute very well on O. -

Yes for sure not 7, but I think we all are perturbed and rather it be this way at the same time. Bulletin board material!. -

I like our ranking there. Gives motivation and get to be the hunter over the hunted. We won’t open the season that low but I wish we would! -
Texas Soccer- The New Era on the Horizon

Nice 3–0 winner to start the campaign. Congrats to Coach Bates! -
It’s fascinating—just as the whole country vastly overrated Texas to start last year given the youth and relative lack of talented depth, I think a LOT of national pundits are underrating us this year. Maybe people feel kinda snakebit after last year. But you cannot look at this roster and actually believe there are six better teams in the country. That’s just foolishness.

Better result here this season in the opener than last year. Lost to NorthWestern State last year. -

I turned it off when Texas was not in top 6. -
casey hampton is 4-5 spots too low. he was absolutely dominant. i’d like to know where blake brockermeyer and dan neil ended up, along with tony brackens and a perpetually underrated bryant westbrook. westbrook should have won the thorpe, but teams were terrified of him and he was rarely challenged. he was better than jammer and ross in college, imo. injuries derailed his pro career.

Priest Holmes was an NFL Offensive POY, a 3-time All-Pro, NFL rushing champion, Super Bowl winner, and the NFL leading scorer in 2002. He still holds the NFL record for yards from scrimmage per game (163 yds). He may have the best NFL resume of any Longhorn over the past 30 years.
