  2. As a current student, they have security and guide students in. They only allow a batch of students whenever gates open (3:30) to control the flow. I'm currently in line with a group of friends and we usually swap in and out whos in line so we can stay fresh and go about our day while still helping each other out.
  3. Oh I wish these were still there….. Mad Dog & Beans The Barn Night Hawk Threadgills Magic Time Machine Huts Hamburgers GM Steakhouse Players Filling Station Mrs Johnson’s Donuts
  4. Casa Colombia if you want to try something different and want some pretty good food, it’s on 7th st
  5. Don't risk it for just one game.
  6. It’s not Austin-specific because they exist other places, but for Mexican/Tex-Mex I’d got to Lupe Tortilla. There are like 4 of them around town.
  7. I had returned to a previous employer for about three months. I had left a job with a lot of travel which included flying in and out of the airports the planes had taken off from. I watched on a TV and could not comprehend the towers had fallen. I remember picking up our daughter from high school that day and what had happened had not sunk into her yet. They kept the students in the dark quite a bit.
  8. Back in 2014 I had seen someone printing out fake job offer letters for Nick Saban at PCL😂
  9. Enchiladas y mas is definitely legit! Paplote for tacos is a good spot too. BBQ is hard to go wrong!
  10. It is clear some posters do not understand the difference between ESPN College Gameday and students entering DKR for the game.
  11. College kids and common sense?
  12. Trying to push through a DL as a short yardage back with an ankle sprain seems not only ineffective but a way to worsen the injury. But hey I’m not the staff so let’s see. I like James Simon a lot and trust him if needed in certain situations.
  13. Let him go through workouts and if he's feeling good enough to play let him go out there, but if not he can rest a couple of weeks when we'll really need him. If Texas winning this game is dependent on a freshman running back, we are further away from the main goal than I expected.
  14. I’m not questioning the effectiveness of the crowd. I’m just picturing kids lining up over a day in advance in 100 degrees then entrances getting bull rushed once they’re opened. Again, I could be wrong since I was not a student when the change was made. But it seems like that has occurred based on comments I’ve read.
  15. List half the roster as questionable and the other half as probable. And change it every week.
  16. BBQ- Franklin’s, Terry Blacks burgers- Dans, Jewboy Mexican- Amayas village tacos, Cuantos Tacos Breakfast- Juan in a million (order the Don Juan) Italian-Sienas Freda’s (order shrimp crawfish Etoufee and add a fried catfish) pizza- homeslice, Pinthouse Persian- shandeez. Order koobideh with rice
  17. Something tells me Sark is all in about this game and that if Cooper can go even if it’s just for 5 or less short yardage carries and push enough off of his ankle enough to push the pile he’ll play.
  18. Texas jumps out to an early 14-0 lead and never looks back winning 35-21
  19. And I thought I was a G for being there at 5AM on game day vs Alabama
  20. I’m fine with being cautious. I just don’t think the risk is worth the gain. We have a great stable of backs. Past RB2 he’s not so much better to merit the risk of losing several games.
  21. Agreed. These guys could easily be debated for includsion: Leonard Davis, Jonathan Scott, Kasey Studdard, Doug Dawson, Bud McFadin, Lyle Sendlein and Mike Williams. And maybe Harley Sewell.
  22. Definitely NOT L&L for bbq soo overrated. Franklin’s is the Gold Standard but long line. A strong second option is Style Switch! Every year over the last 6ish years it keep getting busier and the quality is still great! If you are there for breakfast must go to Juan in Million and get the Don Juan Taco and Horchata! You just need one taco! 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
  23. I’d bet he doesn’t play, But i thought the same thing about goosby last week and he played.
  24. For a special occasion-type place, I'd recommend Wink, which I found reliable 10-15 years ago anyway and an early adopter on the farm-to-table movement in Austin. Excellent hospitality and an unassuming place sandwiched in a strip mall type of thing.
  25. Today
  26. J Carvers is the best steak in the city. Trulucks, III Forks, Gus's Fried Chicken Jabs smash burgers on Rainey
