Against P4 defenses we have scored a maximum of 24 points. 24 points won’t win this game. Why would anyone think we can score more?

I hate to sound shallow and negative but if Arch rolls out there on the first series I don't expect to see anything different than the last 4 games, what realistically is going to change? I keep hearing the "backs against the wall" theory but you're telling me our backs weren't against the wall at 11AM in DKR last Saturday? The Florida game was Arch Manning's 21st start and a "must have" game at home against an inferior team and he couldn't handle it. I don't have any faith in him going forward. I am also not going to lie to myself and expect KJ to come in and light the world on fire. However, I would like to start him and see if he can distribute the ball to playmakers and move the offense down the field. As far as the injury to Simmons I am much less worried about the EDGE position than I am the current state of our QB and run game.

We have a great coach and team. Why Beard and Terry’s name come up are baffling to me.

I know most of that has to do with football, but I just have this odd feeling that compared to their normal standards under CDC, this could be the worst season for him as an AD post-COVID for a majority of the 21 sports on campus. This could be the most difficult Directors’ Cup for them to win. Hope I’m wrong though.

They have, and that's what I meant. Require teams to be in a conference or you're ineligible for the CFP. It's ridiculous they have special rules for seeding/getting in

I get why they want to leave the ACC but I feel like this will just create more independents when instead we could all just bully Notre Dame into joining a conference!
