I hate that college football is losing part of its fabric that makes it so special, which totally sucks. my only point is that I trust that Texas will put the same level of talent on the field as before. I am for a well paid 65 scholly athlete roster for football. Then a 50 person mix low-paid ($200/mo ??) scholly and walk-on JV/Development squad for development and injury "call-up" availability. Also, let this latter group play 5 games vs other similar DI squads or JUCOs or full DII teams.
