  1. Past hour
  2. Crazy comeback again!!! I didn’t think they played as well last night, the had a lot of hitting errors. They have grit . They beat a great team while not playing their best. Ground out a win.
  3. Mack. Far more effective at courting donors, chatting with fans, flattering recruits and shooting the breeze with HS coaches. which is what ambassadors do.
  4. Today
  5. He committed to Texas then backed out and went to Alabama. On the upper echelon of talent, but there were questions even in recruiting whether he might maximize that talent.
  6. He's huge but does he have the desire to be great? Who gets into the League? The dudes that work the hardest, maximize their potential, don't make excuses, lead.
  7. Yes. He was in on the Jerrick Gibson fumble late in the game.
  8. I truly think that it was Notre Dame that was trying to lure Ewers to come play there. Maybe he should've gone? Who knows, not sure he really fits their offensive style but what do I know? Could've been Oregon, he would fit that offense more than Notre Dame's, imo.
  9. The problem is, can you rely on a portal transfer at QB all the time? What happens when the guy you get doesn't work out or gets injured? I can see the pro's of it but the cons are also there for that deal. Mateer looks pretty good so far against sub-par teams. Even this years Michigan team looks worse than last years. Outside of Mateer they have nothing offensively and their OL isn't all that great. Even their D that was hyped up isn't that impressive. Anyway, it's a good conversation starter, that's for sure.
  10. Rewrite of history, Mack was 5-7 after the Colt’s Senior season. He had no clue what he was doing by then. He was impressed with Bama and wanted to move the program into that style of play whereas Saban would adapt to the modern age of football. Patterson didn’t recruit the talented bunch Brown left Charlie. Patterson was a bad hire and not moving on from Mack in 2011 was a bad decision. 2010 1-6 in Big 12 2011. 4-5 2012 5-4 2013 7-2 but still lost 5 total. His last ten years in CFB he averaged 5 losses a year. Those are the facts. Nice man. Got lucky once with Vince. Raise your hand who should be the ambassador of Texas Football, Mack or Vince?
  11. One thing I've learned is to stay out of the game threads. I've no problem with people reacting to stuff as it's happening, that is normal. But it personally does my head in lol. Now I just watch the games and react afterwards.
  12. You guys highlighted the TE’s today as maybe a team strength. I think you forgot to include TE blocking which most certainly is not a team strength.
  13. Just a part of the game, if you have them and don’t have any timeouts you have to challenge. We do the same thing. I kinda like their coach honestly. I agree it slows things down but it is within the rules. What an amazing match AGAIN! These girls have ice water in their veins. Nothing seems to phase them. Props to Louisville too, heck of a match. Love how Elliott is letting these girls play through adversity. It will continue to pay off. I mean we are 5-0 and our wins have come against three Top 10 teams and an additional Top 15 team.
  14. Big win for the ladies! Another comeback in the 5th set to beat the cardinals.
  15. Another great write up Jeff. Was great meeting you in Houston a few weeks ago, and I love the work you put on the field!
  16. Good grief, talk about a young team in high leverage situations. Four wins in top 15 matches in two weeks (and traveling to Madison, Houston and Fort Worth), two insane 5th set comebacks in the span of 4 days. Football should take note.
  17. "Wasn't t hat a great play?" - Yeah, it sure was...whatever they did, great stuff...lol.
  18. I don't remember us recruiting Smith? But I know we wanted Moore and Williams.
  19. Between winning tonight and landing star recruit Ireland Real, this has been a great day for Texas volleyball.
  20. Takes takes 5th set 16-14. Texas was down 11-6 Texas wins match 3-2
