Inside the ruthless recruitment of Arch Manning
FootLaw replied to Blake Munroe's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Out of the entire article, this part stood out to me the most (in a bad way). It doesn't say that Saban told Golding to specifically highlight that issue but now I wonder. Recruiting is brutal. -
Ohio St. names Sayin as starter

I wasn’t talking about Texas fans by the way. I was talking about the set up around the stadium. The mini state fair games, the silent DJ on the hill, such a good time. -

Yup, still to this do NO LOSS has EVER effected me more than the ‘05 loss to Texas. None of the losses to Michigan, none of the losses in national championship games, that game f’d me up for a while. -

Yeah, Texas fans don’t deserve that. Tennessee fans however, I’m glad they got the Texas treatment. There is no trashier fan base than Tennessee. -

So sorry to hear that. I was at that game in 2005. One of the best games I have ever been to Young to Sweed at the end broke my heart but I have never heard the stadium as loud as that game. I hung out with Long Horn fans at my tailgate and they were great and fun to talk too. The issue is so many OSU fans that come to tailgate and do not go to the game get sauced all day and act like idiots. I would reccomend staying away from high street after the game mostly drunken students and other tailgaters in the bars. Go to Upper Arlington (nice Suburb five minutes from OSU campus or Grandview and there are plenty of Pubs/Bars you can watch games and have a meal/cocktails without being harassed by drunken idiots. Going to be aa great game.... Hoping for no injuries to either team and no BS calls by the Refs for either team.

Unfortunately for Texas fans that visited Ohio st can’t say the same for the fanbase after our win there. Worse behavior of any fanbase that UT fans have ever witnessed. 20 years since that game and if you go in any UT website the overwhelming worse fan experience was that game. Hope they are better this year.

2026 SEC 9 Game Conference Schedule
LonghornFan4Ever replied to OTFBrandon's topic in On Texas Football Forum
I could see the SEC making Texas play A&M in Austin back to back seasons in that scenario. A&M wanted that first SEC matchup to be at Kyle Field badly. If they do that, the meltdown from their fan base would be amazing. What tu wants tu gets. I can already picture the messages on TexAgs. -

Fun read. Thanks! -
Ah good call on Tate, I had completely forgotten about him being a stud in that game. Either way, we'll definitely have our hands full. Will really test the communication and skill of the secondary. Good thing is, all of them are 3+ year guys now. That helps a lot and having been in the same system. Should be a fun battle. If the pass rush can get home and rattle Sayin, will be a long day for the Ohio State O. I'm kinda disappointed it's not a night game but it'll still be awesome to see our Longhorns go in there and battle hard.
