  1. Past hour
  2. And Selvin Young wore #22. At least he had the decency to win a natty! Shoot, post VY, I think it was James Kirkendoll who wore #10 for a year. Talk about sacrilegious...
  3. I think KJ will start at least one year. If Sark can get Dia on the Arch timeline, I could see KJ starting two full seasons. I’m that high on him, even with Dia having much higher upside.
  4. No shade on Quinn but if he would have left last year this would be Arch's last year making KJ next years starter and Dia waiting one more year and possibily Bryant doing the same
  5. This reminds me of the other night when I was laying awake in bed and this thought randomly popped into my head: if #22 was retired for Bobby Layne, how the hell was Ryan Nunez wearing it back in the 90s? I had to look it up, apparently Layne's number wasn't retired until 2008 (along with VY's #10). You know we are getting close to football season when thoughts like that are keeping you up at night.
  6. The day I'm not looking forward to is when Sark will have to decide between KJ or Dia.
  7. I could be getting way ahead of myself, But what i have concluded from bringing in Matthew Caldwell, to sarks comments about trey needing to be more consistent and the raving reviews on KJ is the the portal is becoming more and more of a possibility for trey owens next spring or fall.
  8. The impact will most likely come from the transfers. Aiden Robbins (OF) transferred to Texas and has a chance to be really good. He won the Cape Cod summer league batting title. One pitcher to watch is true freshman Sam Cozart. He performed well the West Virginia Black Bears in the MLB Draft summer league. He started 4 games, 19 IP, 2.37 ERA, 26 strikeouts, and 2 BB.
  9. I would love it if your right.
  10. Today
  11. Let me clarify, I asked both sources for just one word to describe Lacey. Forgot to mention that part.
  12. Falls in line ... one person said "escapability" after Saturday's scrimmage

  14. I asked two different team sources to describe the play of freshman QB KJ Lacey. Received two different words back that I think fit him tremendously. *** "Gamer." "Elusive" *** Bobby Burton, Jeff Howe and I spoke about the quarterbacks behind Arch Manning on a recent video, with the Saraland Slinger receiving plenty of praise.
  15. Just reading his bio and the impact he had on Ole Miss, this looks like a tremendous hire. 🤘🏻
  16. I want to put another four-letter word that starts with F before Nico's name!
  17. Pretty good list but give me Tommy Nobis over Spielman and Reggie Bush over Johnny Rodgers
  18. Jeff thank you for sharing that projection of Texas’s QE making the roster. He didn’t play his best against Chicago. hopefully he will do a better job the second preseason game. Back to our present Longhorns. I can hardly wait for August 30th. I know it’s going to be young Arch’s first game as QB1 but his patience & talent has earned him that spot. we all face adversity & Arch probably will at times but i have no doubt it won’t bother him & the sky is the limit for a young man with his talent & football 🏈 skills. were lucky to have HC Sark & his entire staff & have QB1 Arch Manning & his Texas Longhorn players. also i’m excited about AP picking Texas#1 for the very first time. “ HOOKEM “
  19. Listen, I clean up after myself and bring good food. Cannot promise a lack of yelling. If you need another friend for any away games, I'm there haha In all seriousness, that's a legit setup and fire Nico.
  20. This is an option I was wondering about. Move him to practice squad and bring a vet in. Let Wilson walk next season and bump QE up for less $.
  21. https://d1softball.com/ehren-earleywine-joining-texas-coaching-staff/ @Blake Munroe
  22. We would absolutely not be sweating out a playoff spot if we were 10-2 with wins over Ohio State and Florida or Georgia. It would be a mortal lock.
  23. I've wondered why Caldwell wasn't given 19, last worn by Cole Lourd. 19 currently is Bouwmeester (ST) and Zina Umeozulu (Def) There was room for an offensive player, same as 15 with Owens, Stone, and Terry.
