Jeff, great analysis. Pouring a little salt in the wound in the wound might help it heal. This is one of the most inept performance by the entire offense side (yes, GA's you're in there too) with so much talent. DKR recognized what he had at running back & created an offense with Emery Ballard to get them all on the field. Fred Akers switched to the I so that Earl could start 6 yards deep and get full loaded by the time he hit the line. Look at how the offense evolved to fully utilize VY. Right now, I'm not seeing coaches that are putting schemes to maximize the talent we have. OU gave us a hellova blue print. Did someone lose it or are we just too hard headed? Anyway, my $0.02!

Gerry’s talked about it, the problem with Arch is between the ears. Sark really knows the kind of player Arch can be and him knowing that believes that the solution is anything but benching Arch or giving him a smaller role. He’s already in a slump of confidence, the solution is not moving on or putting him aside. He’s gotta work through it and get over it. Whether he does or not I think it will determine his future next season at Texas.

Wisner is pretty clearly not at 100%. There's a lot of talk around here about Sark being transparent with injuries, but let's think back to Worthy playing with a broken bone in his hand for half a season. It's also strange to me that conventional wisdom is that the center is the point guard of the OL, making all the calls on protections, and then people are surprised when a young and already shaky OL has to go to the back-up center and struggles with protections on the road in a conference game. I think @Bobby Burton predicted 20-10? What did we expect a 20-10 game to look like? 🤘

I agree with you about RZ and third down issues. However I think QE was an excellent college qb thst ran the offense efficiently in 23/24. Certainly injuries held him back and he never threw the deep ball as well as he should have yet we won a lot of games with him including Big 12 Championship in 23 and we were 2 or 3 plays away from 1 Winning SEC Championdhip game 2 winning either or both of the semifinal games. sark needs to evolve but to me he is a top 5 college coach. He had the program going in the right direction but we have major issues in o line and at qb I suspect he will get this fixed unfortunstely hx is full of highly ranked QBs that just couldn’t perform when they got to the big stage. That list may well have Arch on it soon. As far as who can be the qb. I suspect Lacy eill be the guy but then again I thought Arch would be great. Unfortunately he isn’t even functional

Don't over think it. The offense stinks. Vandy, Arkansas, and A&M will be bigger tests than Florida, Kentucky or MSU.

Every game is going to be a fight, but this defense can keep us in games. Sagarin's model (which is representative of all of the "computer" models) has us favored against every team left on our schedule other than UGA.

One last thought on National Firing Day: what do Ed Orgeron, Gene Chizik, Jimbo Fisher, and Mack Brown have in common? Hint: it's different than Day and Saban. But you can argue Urban and Dabo are in the same camp. None of the guys getting their papers this week have it.

Changing HC is a huge gamble so I'm hoping Sark solves the offensive execution woes. But to your point on 2 semifinal appearances: we didn't win, and Penix super cape mode aside, the offense was not up to the task. The RZ and 3rd down issues are mind boggling. So I'm not sure the argument is reassuring. As for Arch, I'm in disbelief that his floor is not "competent college QB". The yips behind this line may be a real problem - but looking at him in context of Card, Casey, and Quinn, there also seem to be some recurring themes with mechanics and panic. The paradox there: -if Arch doesn't portal, it seems unlikely that he will be headed to the draft next year, so 1) he's gotta turn into Pavia not Allar in '27 while 2) how do we retain and develop QB2 into the '28 QB? - if he does portal, who's your '26 QB and does he repeat the steep leaning curve?

1. The team is not good on the road. The offense is clearly an issue, and that is likely exacerbated by a hostile road crowd. 2. The team may play up and down to competition. This is common of young teams We have had zero home games against like or better competition, which I believe might be where we see the team perform its best. The game where the team performed the best was a semi-home game against like or better competition (OU). If we get past MState, I like our chances against Vandy, Arkansas and TAMU at home. The obvious challenge will be UGA on the road.

My concern- Sark's offense is too much for college underclassmen, which you inevitably need some to play even with the portal. If that's right, the big question is what offense will Sark allow an OC to run? Something other than "his" / what he wants to major in? Is he going to let <insert: the next Joe Brady or Will Stein, or a rental like Chip Kelly - whats ole Kingsbury up to?> run the show, from roster to scheme to script? Or is he just going to allow an eye in the sky press box play suggestor on headset?

Oh my gosh Sark puts us in back to back semi final games that we easily could have won He may be stubborn and he may have sold his soul for arch but he is our guy i1 under performing season due to poor o line and abysmal qb play does not ruin us i think he can right the ship in a year or two The real problem is what to do with Arch? Will more experience correct a massive lack of confidence or does Sark need to encourage him to portal and get a fresh start? I think he should portal, he has the qb yips. It’s ugly

As reporters idk if y'all have some type of deal or are told to only ask certain questions but this is the UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS sark needs to answer the tough questions.. I'm tired of hearing we didn't execute, the timing was off, I've got to call better plays etc.. What the hell was the offense doing in the off season & fall camp to look this bad.. An OC needs to be hired for next season cause sarks playbook is either outdated or too complicated to execute & get rid of that damn "script" it hasn't worked
