  1. Past hour
  2. It's Saturday night. Gerry passed out in the frozen food aisle near the State Fair microwavable corn dogs in a food coma. CJ trolling for ladies on 6th St. It's almost 8 PM in Tennessee, Bobby is getting ready for bed
  3. @Joe ZuraJoe, it's gonna happen, I promise.
  4. I've heard from a reliable source that there either is or isn't a mysterious Longhorn football player who may or not be playing guard who could have possibly or perhaps didn't enter the portal but probably didn't unless he definitely did. Of course all that could change. This is Casey67 with another ambiguously ambiguous breaking story. Back to regular programming.
  5. I can’t imagine why we don’t just go all in with Seaton and be down with this damn thing, especially with our LT having surgery.
  6. Yesterday
  7. Has anyone heard from any of the mods about the Western Kentucky kid? Haven’t heard one bit about him.
  8. Has anyone heard from any of the mods about the Western Kentucky kid?
  9. PJ with the interception! Longhorns showing out!
  10. Depends what you consider good. If by All American, then no there isn’t. But guys like Price from Baylor and Brendan Black at ISU are both very serviceable guards with experience. We don’t need the best OL in the country we just need one that’s not a liability. Those players would put Texas in a better position than they’re in now not only from an experience standpoint but also bodies. If the specific guy the staff wants doesn’t enter the portal you’re down to selecting from scraps in the portal or rolling the dice on first timers currently on the roster. If you told me before the portal that we were going to end up just going with who we have and sign some FCS guys last minute id say that’s a failure at addressing o line for 2026. Also want to add, despite my complaints, I think the staff will get the situation addressed appropriately. Just saying where we stand right now it doesn’t look good (outside looking in of course)
  11. Add a fumble recovery! (That he almost messed up.)
  12. That is an understatement too 🤣
  13. And PJ Locke has looked good.
  14. And Lil'Jordan!
  15. And for those who doubt Baker as a guard, he was rated as high as #1 IOL in America in HS. I kid you not.
  16. By that logic, Kwiatkowski, Akina, and Scott all should’ve been retained.
  17. Coaches rarely get fired going 10-3 and finishing like we did. Unless Jerry Jones is running the show.
  18. Showing out for Denver in first half: 1.5 sacks, 2 solo tackles, 5 total!
  19. Funny thing is that people here mess their drawers because we missed on two guys from Michigan. A Michigan that got their ass handed to them by the Ohio State. At home. Late in the season. Our LG was not our biggest issue versus OSU either. UF was probably the worst LG game, but the issues went beyond that. Georgia was largely an offensive meltdown. Few teams, if any, will have 5 above average olinemen. Even in the portal world, that’s a tough ask. The vocal majority see a “starting quality” guy enter and think that’s an upgrade. It doesn’t matter who they played or how they performed versus quality opponents. We don’t need volatility. Constant, consistent, due your job effort is needed. And you know where you won’t see that? In highlights. Goosby is to be a star. He needs to play like one. Baker needs to play near that status. Same for the Wake T. Play like it then everyone else’s job is easier.
  20. If you watched Baker late in the season you saw a reliable blocker with good footwork and quickness. There is no reason at all that a wide built tackle with good footwork and quickness cannot be an excellent pass protection blocker as a guard. The Oregon St. guard only allowed one sack and he was protecting a QB with a big arm who was neither a scrambler nor very evasive. If pass pro is the be all and end all I think it will be as good or better than it was at the end of last season with what we have. I am not making that same optimistic assessment about run blocking because Campbell was sometimes a force. But the slick little RBs we got can make yardage through quick opening holes that don't stay open long. Don't worry, be happy~
  21. Flood is NOT going anywhere. He's Sark's bestie.
  22. We are going to sign 300 guards. An army of guards. “Guard formation” will reinvent the sport.
  23. Something tells me he's not looking for a girlfriend...
  24. Another site said the later portal entry is withdrawing an everything is fine @Bobby Burton can you confirm that.
  25. 100% agree. Idc about what he did at other stops at this point because he now has a five year sample size of time at Texas.
