  1. Past hour
  2. Agree, we are able to load bases for sure, we just cant seem to drive those runs in
  3. I’ll tell you a 89 i had high hopes for, But injuries derailed his career here is brayden liebrock. He looked like a reincarnation of jeremy shockey in his senior year highlights.
  4. The current No. 89 on the roster is wide receiver Ty Boatwright out of Kingwood.
  5. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
  6. It seemed like if we couldn't hit home runs we couldn't generate offense.
  7. It’s more than normal. I think they had their best attendance ever at the elite camp which drew more offers.
  8. Great synopsis Clint. I agree with you and think it was a strong first year that will now be built upon. Coach has a clear view of what he has and where things need to be improved. Injuries also played a role in at least three of our everyday players. I look for us to be much better next year and able to build upon this foundation.
  9. 8:17 it is 🤷🏻‍♂️
  10. 👀👀👀👀 815 you say
  11. Join us for Coffee and Football beginning at 8:15 AM, as we talk the Longhorns and take your questions!
  12. We're officially 89 days away until kickoff in Columbus. Who is your favorite 89? Some choices include... David Arledge Jermain Anderson Cullen Loeffler technically started out wearing No. 89 before switching to 85 later in his career. Barrett Matthews also wore 89.
  13. Putting out a ton of baseball content this morning. It will address those questions. Working on it now. Post-season thoughts, insider notes, portal/recruiting thread.
  14. I personally had a blast and truly enjoyed watching this team this season. I never would’ve guessed a 44-14 season. It was definitely disappointing how they finished but keeping the big picture in mind it was one helluva season that included series wins over agricultural and mechanical and boomer along with a conference title. Schloss and his staff are really good and better the future is bright.
  15. I love watching old football games and seeing how game was played in different eras.
  16. @Blake Munroe Any thoughts on how the draft might affect the current roster/incoming high school recruits? Also, any idea on what positions you see Texas being aggressive with in the portal?
  17. Good season. There should be a UT tears thread though, if we are honest
  18. Today
  19. I didn’t realize my wife posted on here. You’re up early!
  20. Dec 20, 2014 · Ashy: When a person of [color's] skin is so [dry] that their skin begins to turn a [shade] of white and crack. A slang term for extremely dry skin from urban dictionary that is one esoteric insult. I will refrain from discussing a caloric intake/use comment
  21. Oh what could have been for Edwin Simmons and Marcus Dupree... Last I recall, Simmons was selling Pontiacs in Austin and Dupree was driving 18-wheelers back in his hometown of Philadelphia, Mississippi. Lots of memories there..saw Shay Holle's Dad Eric for a moment. This game was before the greed settled in and the Longhorn Band sat at the 20 yard line in the stands... before they were forced to move to folding chairs at field level in the north end zone. That game is really special when both teams are in the Top 10.
  22. I've forgotten this "sooner legend," but was he one of their recruits from the Lone Star State? Seem to recall he was a DL but not much else. Now I can forget about him all over again. Finally, I remember an African American friend of mine from our days in graduate school at UT using the term "ashy" in a very unflattering way towards caucasian people...was Sooner Dude insulting the surroundings at DKR? Thanks, Gerry! Along with all the other OTF fans... your work is appreciated and enjoyed!
  23. There was a lot more i missed on this message regarding the hitting situation, but we already know about that I don't feel like singling guys out right now. Only thing I will say is you can leave as many guys as we did on base all season and expect to come out on top.
  24. Can't sleep much after the game last night. Although this was such a disappointing way to end the season and the past couple of weeks have been frustrating to say the least, I am still proud of the guys for doing what they did in the regular season. This year was supposed to be a rebuild year and we were supposed to a middle-of-the-pack SEC team and probably end up a 2/3 seed in someone's regional. This team ended up exceeding pre season expectations and went on an amazing run for most of the season and brought us a regular season SEC title. Y'all can disagree with me if y'all want, but I think with how much emotion there was in the A&M series, that series alone emotionally drained the team going into Arkansas and I think that Arkansas series really messed up some of the players confidence moving forward. The other big reason I feel we had the late season slump was Jared Spencer getting injured. Losing him caused an identity crisis for our pitching rotation and really showed the lack of depth we had in the bullpen. With all that being said, what Schloss was able to accomplish with a squad that was not the most talented and straight up not the best baseball players is amazing and shows how bright the future is with this. We will get better every year from here, we have an amazing recruiting class coming in and have no doubt the NIL backing for the portal will be there. Some quick personal superlatives and would love to hear y'alls: Team MVP: Rylan Galvan / Dylan Volantis Best Game: Game 2 vs LSU Best single game performance (Batting): Casey Borba vs Kansas State 2 H, 2 HR, 8 RBI / Kimble Schuessler vs Auburn (Game 3) 3 H, 1 2B, 2 HR, 8 RBI Best single game performance (Pitching): Jared Spencer vs Georgia (Game 1) W, 7.2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 4 BB, 11 K, 111 Pitches Alright thats it, lets hope softball can finish the job and bring home a title, then its back to focusing on Football😎 Hook Em' 🤘🤘
