  2. NBA on TNT gone Greg Gumbel stepped down before march madness and Lee corso has one show left
  3. Eyes never lie.
  4. The punting and kicking game got worse last year. Those are personnel issues considering they were good for 3 years in a row prior. The return units have been strong pretty much all 4 years and I don’t think we have allowed a punt or kick return TD in Banks’ tenure. Special teams are more than how far can you punt it and how often does the ball go through the uprights. You could argue those are the areas the coaches control the least, actually.
  5. Tell him to go the hell and be done with it. Kobe didn't make 4 mil in 1999.
  6. Having a special assistant like Joe DeCamillis seemed to make the special teams unit pretty solid in 2023. I believe Texas hired a special assistant for special teams a few months ago so we’ll see if that helps the unit get back on track.
  7. Today
  8. Nobody but Arch is worth 4 million.
  9. Who is asking for 4 mil?
  10. My father was on an air craft carrier in the eastern Mediterranean then. They readied B1 nuclear jets for Israel and Russia. They kept yelling "First strike. We'll win," as they got ready.
  11. And we have a special guest ... it's a good one
  12. Who authorized a day off for Bobby? WTH? 😉
  13. So does this mean you will actually start on time @Blake Munroe???????????
  14. Good Friday. Closest The US ever came to nuclear war. 20 October 1973. I was one year old. Kissinger was in Moscow negotiating with the Soviets about the Yom Kippur War. Nixon was back in Washington dealing with Watergate. He gave Kissinger full presidential powers. General Secretary Leonid Brezhnev told Kissinger the Soviets were going send troops into Israel. Kissinger invented the statement ,"We'll blow you back to the stone age." Soviets were trying to play domestic troubles against Henry. Kissinger went back to his room and ordered Defcon 3, which meant nuclear weapons ready. Steel balls. Soviets backed down.
  15. I’d love to get Justin Tucker’s thoughts on this - he seemed to be at the forefront of the mental side of kicking.
  16. Your username reminds me of that guy who used to sell juicers on infomercials at 3am. Lol
  17. I think we were pretty decent on special teams in 2022 and 23. But last year was poor.
  18. Not to pile on, but do we think special teams has collectively gotten worse since Coach Sark's first year? I remember they used to actively get after Punter's and try different looks, etc. Plus, our recruiting at the K and P spots hasn't seemed all that great. Is there an issue there that needs to be addressed or am I making too big of a deal on that? Regardless of my complaints, wish this young man all the best, despite his struggles last year, we can't forget all the good he did and that he was a good Longhorn. Hope he finds the right spots for himself and to the person who said get a haircut, I disagree, the fro looks great.
  19. At the risk of being knocked again by Matthew, reminds me of Henry Kissinger telling his staff in an October 1976 classified meeting about the death Mao that it didn't matter who won the election or what the Soviets and Chinese did, there was no way they could generate the wealth to compete with US in the long run.
  20. Another site that we all know (IT) let it slip on a live podcast that the kicker from down the road in San Marcus is going to sign with Texas.
