  1. Past hour
  2. Arch definitely has to improve. However, when sitting in the stands and people around you are literally calling plays out before they happen the play caller needs to take some accountability. Derrick Cooper was the leading rusher in the game and received 2 carries in the 2nd half. Texas leads the SEC in 3 and outs.
  3. I think yes on the complexity. Or we're just bad at teaching it in practice. But in any case the single biggest problem is the players don't consistently execute the plays. Hard to be physical if you aren't first 100% sure what you are supposed to be doing.
  4. If you were to do a real analysis on an all 22 you would see multiple plays as you describe an opportunities for arch to hit faster plays. It’s there of course sometimes things are covered in defenses are good arch needs to recognize that too and not force a ball into triple coverage or double coverage and throw an interception. you will notice how infrequently arch throws to the tight end go back and look at Quinn and you’ll see that he had a much higher rate at throwing to the tight ends. Same schema, same play, different quarterback
  5. Social media is a cesspool. Whether it’s Twitter or message boards, people posting anonymously get far more courage than they do in person, either with each other or coaches and players. Take a look at some of the posts on this and other Texas boards over the last 15 hours. Folks get way too high when they win and very reactive when their team loses. The problem aggie has is the board, Tex Ags, which is practically embedded into their program. Their own moderator brags about his access and friendships with folks in the building (and even helping JFF wake up for draft workouts). When you become the de facto insider you’re going to get way more scrutiny. That said, Elko needs to stop whining about social media. It’s a sad fact of life in 2026. Turn it off, coach the team and move on.
  6. I would agree with you if Quinn didn’t also regress in this offense. And if arch was allowed to use his legs like he was last year.
  7. user name doesn’t check out…
  8. Bishops touchdown was how it was drawn up, sit in the zone to draw the defener and release. Arch was not scrambling on the play.
  9. Watch him end up at LSU under kiffin next season.
  10. This falls at Sark’s feet. Arch absolutely has blame, but when you have back-to-back 5 stars, you have to look at the system around them.
  11. As they say chicks, dig the deep ball. Apparently, so does Arch. Singles and doubles win games you guys may remember but sark told arch to look for Emmett Mosley during the Ohio State on the crossing route. I bet if it were not for Sark mentioning that in the headphones at the last minute arch would not have made that read.
  12. The play calling at times is terrible and the play book has changed drastically over the last couple of years. Not utilizing the RB 's in the screen game has all but disappeared and not targeting TE 's as well. Arch not seeing the blitz coming is baffling and Sark not adjusting to the constant blitz fronts is a CRIME! I also know that the constant 3 and outs make it difficult for an offense to find its rhythm but at some point some adjustments have to be made and that falls on Sark. " The year before the year " might turn into just another year. Sadly. 🤘🤘
  13. Sark is proving that he is more of QB killer than a QB whisperer, also doesn’t help that our OL has never been able to pick up a blitz
  14. Honestly, I think the best thing for Arch’s continued development would be to transfer to another school with a qb whisperer coach. He seems to have not only plateaued, but regressed this year under sark.
  15. People also forget that he’s not the son of a Manning QB. His dad was a reciever. Maybe he’s playing the wrong position.
  16. You are assuming that anyone could have developed arch art fundamentally has a processing problem. I don’t know if any coach can actually solve that just because he has the Manning name doesn’t mean he’s gonna be an NFL star
  17. It starts with execution and discipline. The penalties, stalled drives, and offensive inconsistency are unacceptable for a team with this much talent and experience. Simplify the offense, establish the run, and give up play calling. When the same problems keep showing up, it’s a coaching problem. Elite head coaches delegate and adapt. Sark has repeatedly shown he’s unwilling to do either. Unfortunately, Texas is paying the price.
  18. Understood and thanks for elaborating. In my opinion, Arch is diagnosing plays slow due to the time it’s taking to run the routes that are his 1st and 2nd reads. However, I could certainly be wrong
  19. The way this OLine can’t pick up a blitz to save its life, Quinn would be getting flatlined every time he drops back to pass.
  20. Great article Gerry. The QB craft needs to improve substantially. The offense in general needs to develop an identity and consistency. Arch is part of that, but 11 possessions of 4 plays or less doesn’t speak well to the OC. Following up a 6 three and out game with a 7 three and out performance is just bad. Also, Sark talks about complimentary football but he rarely executes it. Following up two three and outs with a one play 41 yard touchdown pass isn’t complimentary. Going three and out the next two drives after that sure as hell isn’t complimentary football. 5 possessions totaling 13 offensive plays to start the game. Yeesh…
