I know it’s close to home for her, but Kelvin Sampson can’t coach both programs.

This has been the closest, most uneventful final day I can imagine.

3rd base is an issue. It also doesn’t help that she’s struggling at bat. She got her first RBI in SEC play yesterday. 7-9 in the lineup is an issue.

We won’t play today. I’ll be shocked if we do. Volantis and Cozart neither will have thrown this weekend.

3rd base and LF are issues for TX and a number 2 pitcher. I know OU numbers are exaggerated because they played some really horrible teams early in the year to stack up these huge home run numbers, but they do not have a weakness anywhere in their lineup. Starting pitching could be their downfall, but it won't be offense.

If the radar on my phone is accurate, I doubt there will be a game for a while.

@Jeff Howe do you know the mechanics of these decisions? How much, if any, input do we have into whether this game gets played? And then, if the game doesn't happen today, does it get rescheduled for later in the season or just fully cancelled? Because I'm thinking through whether I want us to play today. On the one hand, we have a massive advantage on paper: Volantis + fresh Cozart + bullets left in Crossland, Leffew, Burns if we want them ... vs. Weston Moss and max 2 innings from freshcorn. BUT that advantage on paper might not matter right now and it might be more strategic to just cut bait at 2 losses and move on.
