Great now everyone has time to delete their tweets about how Texas is playing a backup and instead say they’re playing a struggling QB

Texas can shut Florida down.

I agree, in his same shoes I'd take the money as well, especially given a built in excuse of "hey I don't have the same resources to compete". Just like Jimbo at ATM with his guaranteed contract. Just fire me so I can take my money but I sure as hell ain't walking away from it. Separately but kind of similar, I find it funny when people complain about a high dollar free agent/recruit that doesn't pan out. It's not their fault your team (pro or college) offered the money, it's your team's fault for not properly assessing the value.

Sean Miller and the Texas MBB squad
Sundancekid replied to PaulieD's topic in On Texas Football Forum
FBI wrecked Miller’s Arizona squad the last few years with accusations and uncertainty regarding illegal payments to players that in today’s landscape seem pretty inconsequential. His Arizona trams had some mono working for a while and were primed for a breakthrough if not for the legal troubles. Lots of great coaches don’t win national championships are make a bunch of final fours… depending on your definition of “great”. -
Florida head coach Billy Napier says QB DJ Lagway is "100%" as of Wednesday during his time on the weekly SEC Teleconference. The UF QB was in a boot following the Gators' loss this weekend to Miami. However, Napier says the boot was due to the sophomore quarterback being stepped on in the game and that he "is fine" at the moment. Florida is idle this week, then will host the Longhorns on October 4 in Gainesville.

Sean Miller and the Texas MBB squad

Just me, but I believe he's going to be very strong in evaluation. Putting a roster together. Miller won't have the same NIL behind him Sark has, to be clear. -

How do you view his talent acquisition skills? Sark to me is elite at this. - Today

All depends on what your definition of elite is. For some it's National Title, for some it's multiple final fours, or a final four on a resume. For me, Sean Miller is an elite current college basketball coach with four Elite Eight's, 22-13 in the NCAA Tournament and 8 Sweet 16 appearances. But I view how difficult winning is in the NCAA Tournament differently than some others. If someone's only measuring stick is a Final Four appearance to be Elite ... would you take Kevin Keatts over Sean Miller, or is he an elite coach over Miller? Not me!!! Current college basketball coaches with more NCAA Tournament wins than Miller: Tom Izzo John Calipari Bill Self Rick Pitino Mark Few Rick Barnes Kelvin Sampson Matt Painter Thad Matta Sean Miller is No. 10. If Miller is at Texas for 7-8 years, I'm betting he'll add another Elite Eight or two ... I hope he gets to the FF to complete the coaching resume, but it's not a given. -
Fair enough. Do you think CDC had the option to hire an "elite" coach with a FF on his resume? Which ones were available?

Stay in Louisville. Drive in day of game. It’s an easy drive.

WNBA playoffs are really good!

The league is physical. CC came into the season with a soft tissue injury. Did her teammates injure her in training camp? Then she came back and injured her other groin, with no contact. Not sure what being a leabian has to do with, but you don't have to convince me you're not watching. They go at Cintron and Paige just as hard so I don't think it's racial. It is what it is, I get it, you're not a fan of the W. You're a fan of Clark and that's cool with me. -
Appreciate the responses back here!

A bunch of lesbians ridiculously pounded CC while the refs looked the other way. Was it petty? Was it racial? Was it because she's straight? It was definitely stupid because CC was bringing money and attention to the league. My stance is if Caitlin ain't playing, I ain't watching. -
He didn’t have to take anything. He was given an option to retire at end of the year, he refused so they fired. Pretty cut and dry, also 15 million I would do the same and refuse to retire.

I get and understand if your a CC fan, but when it comes to the Fever they're more than just CC. Truth be told they are accomplishing more without her. What Stephanie White is doing with that group of women is nothing short of remarkable. Half of the starting roster and every point guard they had at the start of the season is injured. Still they were able to win their first playoff series in over a decade. They put the ball in Kelsey Mitchell hand and she said get on my back I'll carry us. Next year the Fever are going to have to find a way to move CC off the ball to maximize the offense. Nobody in the league can stay in front of KM or keep her from collapsing the defense. That will relieve the pressure on Clark and get her much easier and better shots. An efficient Clark is dangerous, Clark shooting 15% from logo 3s might as well be just another turnover. -

I'm thinking this as well, seems he was really bitter the last few years. If he had to take less money so that they could have more NIL which he disliked, it didn't help matters. He probably checked out and the players saw it as well.

When you look at the B12, there aren’t a lot of programs with more resources than okie lite. At worst they’re second quartile. Yet they’re close to the bottom in terms of on field performance. So being “cash strapped” relative to their peers is totally of their own making.

Man I can watch MVPhee and AT go at it all day. And seeing Satou Sabally in short shorts run up and down the court is a plus for me. She can just stand in a corner and I'd watch her.
