This year it's the Tackles. Plus, his running game is worse this year and that adds extra pressure because the defense doesn't worry about it. The Texans can easily win the SB with a few more parts. CJ proved against KC and the Bills he CAN out duel the best. He just needs more maturity and consistency. I believe he gets there. The kid has a fire and faith I really like. 🤘 Nicely written. I feel the same. Quote

Migas & Fajitas Posted Monday at 01:34 AM Posted Monday at 01:34 AM I have to admit, it was hard to watch CJ’s performance the last two games. I would still like to see what he can do behind a better offensive line. 2 Quote

Longmire Posted Monday at 01:57 AM Posted Monday at 01:57 AM If they don't dump Stroud, they are idiots. Constantly throws into triple coverage. A hand injury doesn't make you stupid. 2 1 Quote

Ill die on the hill of you never draft a qb from OSU Quote
Migas & Fajitas Posted yesterday at 12:07 AM Posted yesterday at 12:07 AM Let’s say we make a change from CJ. Who is replacement? Davis Mills is not gonna take a team to the SB. Trade up to draft one and have a rookie QB behind a subpar OL? CJ finished 11th in QBR for the 2025 season. His playoff QBR is 8th ahead of Rodgers, Lawrence, and Hebert and was a few QBR points behind Stafford and Maye. Playing behind a bad OL and with his main targets all injured. What free agent is out there? Geno Smith? Willis? Unless CJ wants too much money, I think we might be “stuck” with him for a few more years. I really would like to see what he can do behind a better OL. 2 Quote
FootLaw Posted yesterday at 02:01 PM Posted yesterday at 02:01 PM All that talk about how his low S2 score didn't matter isn't aging well. OL/injuries or not, dude has horrible decision-making skills under pressure. Stroud will not win the AFC (much less a SB) for the Texans. I'll stand by this statement every time. They need to draft heavy on OL this year and prepare to move on from CJ after the season. Not worth the $ he will want. 1 Quote

Roysterr Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago CJ in his 2 most important games of his career : 5 Interceptions and 5 fumbles The opposite of clutch, who wants him as your franchise QB? I don't Quote

I don't This was CJ's first year of running the offense from under center. He's still kinda young. He still has lots to learn. And yeah, dude definitely stunk it up in the playoffs but finished the regular season 11th in QBR ratings...behind a below average OL and a running game missing its RB1 all season. Definitely needs to learn how to eat the ball better and live to fight another down. Turnovers in the playoffs were brutal. NFL radio heads in Htown indicated the receivers were an issue in the last playoff game, more so than the OL. Like really bad according to them. Also complained about how the team used Nico all season. Would like to see Nico moving all over the place to make it harder on defenses to scheme. I've written this before. I would really like to see what CJ can do behind a better OL. Quote
