Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted March 21 Moderators Share Posted March 21 Four-star OT Lamont Rogers locks in Texas official visit The Texas Longhorns are up to nine offensive line official visitors in June. That number has increased by one with the news today that Lamont Rogers (Mesquite, Texas/Horn) has locked in an official visit. Rogers, 6-7 and 300 pounds, is scheduled to make an official visit to Texas June 14-16 OnTexasFootball learned Wednesday. Texas will be the third official visit for the OnTexasFootball 4-star. He will make his first official visit May 31-June 2 to Missouri, and will be at Texas A&M the following weekend (June 7-9). Alabama, LSU and Oklahoma are also under serious consideration. Kyle Flood stopped by Horn High in January, and Rogers attended Junior Day January 20. Rogers has been on campus a few times since Texas began the recruitment. goattalk100
@Gerry Hamilton Do these oline visits identify who is on top of the Texas board? Because it seems like this year both June 14-16 & June 21-23 have priority targets.

Nick Brooks is likely to visit June 14-16. Texas will likely have 13-14 OV's on the OL all told.
TexCwby
If Donald Hawkins is training Lamont Rogers, he must be good.

Is this Texas just being in a different position recruiting wise now so they need to spread priority targets over 2 weekends instead of having the last OV weekend the main one? Or is it just how it’s fallen this year?

Not really possible to have 9-10 guys at one position visit the same weekend. Would be too many players without the ideal time for Flood to spend with all of them.
harveycmd
Michael Fasusi, OT, Lewisville (Texas) High OnTexasFootball ranking: 5-star Official visit schedule: Texas A&M June 14-16, Texas June 21-23 Gerry, should we read anything into the lack of an OV for the Sooners at this point? I'm hoping.

Texas A&M should be June 7-9, Oklahoma June 14-15 and Texas June 21-23
