Anyone able to grab, or know first hand, what the odds for this matchup as the finale was before the season kicked off? I’m guessing it’s pretty radical.

Draftkings had Miami at +4000 to start the year and Indiana was at +10000. Texas was at +550 second behind Ohio State at +500

I saw that Indiana only has 8 - 4/5 stars on the team and Oregon has 40+, wow.

Looks like "college" football has just morphed into a different animal where high school recruiting and stars have slipped in importance.

IU looks better than 2019 LSU and seems hotter than last year's OSU team.  Michael Irvin and Ray Lewis may be sad next week.

Like Oregon was supposed to do in the regular season, Ohio State was supposed to do in the Big Ten Championship, and Oregon was supposed to do in the Peach Bowl, right?

I think Indiana wins it by at least 10.  Miami fans are hoping this is a Giants-Patriots 2008 Super Bowl type of game where their OL and DL win this game on their own.  Indiana's trenches are nice too and they have the better QB, collection of RBs, collection of WRs, better special teams, and obviously the edge in coaching staff.

I’m picking Miami under the assumption that Cristobal is smart enough to line up and run the damn ball until IU shows that they can stop it. Eat clock, eat clock, eat clock. I’m talking about Michigan vs OSU a few years back running 18 run plays in a row type of run game. Quick hitter to Malachi Toney when needed once they’ve loaded the box.

You gotta keep in mind that the star ranking is based on measurables and pro potential, with high school production sprinkled in. Also some unranked prospects haven’t had the exposure, haven’t morphed into their physical body, didn’t have the sexy numbers coming out of high school, and/or just have pure football ability/instincts that can’t be measured. So Oregon and other blue bloods right now are made up of mostly eye candy potential; whereas Indy has proven college production and experience mixed with Gus that can flat out play.

I know that. I’m asking what the odds would’ve been to pick a Miami vs Indy final before the season started and someone gave me each team’s odds but I want the specific matchup odds from before the ‘25 season kicked off.
