Dread-headed Texan Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago You may get your bat on a DV pitch but it's going to be a grounder. Batters hardly ever get enough of his pitch to do much damage and I love it. 1 Quote
Moderators Jeff Howe Posted 14 hours ago Author Moderators Posted 14 hours ago Volantis works around a single and a walk allowed with one out to get out of the inning without either runner advancing further. 1 Quote

Moderators Jeff Howe Posted 14 hours ago Author Moderators Posted 14 hours ago Rodriguez can flat hit. A nice piece of hitting on a sinking liner to center to lead off the fourth. Quote
Jerry K Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I have much respect for Roger Wallace as a sports caster. I don’t know him personally but it’s obvious he’s a great person. But dang he talks quiet when he calls a game. If there’s an option the volume on his mic needs to be turned up. Quote

Moderators Jeff Howe Posted 14 hours ago Author Moderators Posted 14 hours ago After a Rodriguez single and stolen base and a Pack walk, Borba's two-out, three-run home run to into the left-field bullpen gives Texas a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth. 1 Quote
Moderators CJ Vogel Posted 14 hours ago Moderators Posted 14 hours ago Two barrrels today for Broba and he's rewarded with a homer on that one. Seeing the ball well today. 3 Quote
Kyle Vochoska Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago @Jeff Howe with Jonah not playing yesterday or today what does that tell you about him with spring Football starting tomorrow? 2 Quote

I didn’t think there would be any causal impact this weekend, and that we’d find out more about their plan starting Tuesday on. (Especially yesterday could be easily explainable: cold weather and a wet field and delays/restarts aren’t conducive to Jonah’s soft tissue injury prone self.) But yeah—inquiring minds want to know what the plan is! Edited 14 hours ago by AZ Longhorn 1 Quote
Moderators Jeff Howe Posted 14 hours ago Author Moderators Posted 14 hours ago Volantis issues a two-out walk and then three consecutive base hits end his afternoon. It's a three-run fifth for Upstate, who has a runner in scoring position with two outs. Michael Winter is on the mound to replace Volantis. Quote

LonghornLegends Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Man sometimes these pitchers blow my mind lol 2 outs and then just giving away runs lol Quote
AZ Longhorn Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago (edited) Need better effort from pack there (and better focus from Dylan—Schloss is right to have gotten animated with him). Frustrating because those things have nothing to do with talent. Edited 14 hours ago by AZ Longhorn Quote

Kyle Vochoska Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago (edited) These Upstate bats have gotten to Texas pitchers more than I have seen so far this season. They had 14 hits yesterday and are hitting the ball hard again today. Edited 14 hours ago by Kyle Vochoska Quote
AZ Longhorn Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago At least Livingston is putting together good ABs this weekend! I really want him to get it going. The baserunning choices leave something to be desired though. Second straight day. Just want this team to sharpen up between the ears. 1 Quote
